  1. i assume it still doesn’t include MNF and Thursday games
  2. because if you swap the players, the giants still win. they didn’t win because of eli. rivers was easily as good as, if not better than eli. giants won because of being a better run team, not because of eli. the trade was eli vs rivers + merriman. there is a clear winner there. rivers + merriman >>> eli. that was the trade. chargers got the better end of the trade.
  3. i expect if you swap rivers and eli, the teams would have performed pretty much the same, though the helmet catch may never have happened. then imagine how nasty the giants would have been with shawnee merriman in their defense too. the giants were a better coached team and a better run franchise. that’s what won them their superbowls. rivers + merriman >>> eli. the chargers won the trade.
  4. i think the chargers got the better end of that deal, tbh, they just didn’t do anything with it because their GM was an idiot.
  5. at 39 there will undoubtedly be someone rated top 25 who drops. will be interesting to see which 1st round rated players make it to us there. we could easily come away with two 1st rounders.
  6. that’s fine with me if he makes >65% of his passes and has an 8:1 TD to INT ratio
  7. isn’t that every defensive coordinators plan regardless of who the QB is?
  8. Fitterer “We don’t plan to have a high pick next year.” that does not mean drafting a three year project
  9. when you’re interviewing for a job worth millions/year, it’s not generally advised to act like a college kid trying to be funny.
  10. Levis is the quintessential million dollar arm with a five cent head. he has flame out written all over him.
  11. we have to have some light color to keep their heads from baking on hot southern afternoons. take your pick, white or silver. btw…matte silver = grey.
  12. examining a couple of different big boards, i see two WR above 6’2” in the top 125. usually we see a few big guys in the first couple of rounds. this year they seem to be in the back half of the draft.
  13. when is Stroud supposed to visit Charlotte for a meeting with the team pre-draft?
  14. surprised to see Johnston as the only WR above 6’, and he’s a medium sized 6’3”. No big guys this year.
  15. Every time i watched Young play over the last couple of years i always thought, “Holy fug balls! How did he do that?” or “WTF just happened! Damn i wish we could get him.” yes his size is a bit of a concern, but his play making ability is generational. When i watched Stroud play he was smooth an efficient. he always got the job done. hard to get mad at that, unless you’re rooting for the other team. When i watched Richardson play i laughed my ass off and thought, “OMG this guy sucks the balls off a line of donkeys waiting at Krispy Kreme.” i couldn’t watch a full game of his he was so bad. so there’s that.
