I'm more fearful of Tepper than Rhule because you can always replace a coach, but replacing an owner is much harder and they still make a ton of money even if they are terrible. I'm fearful we have Dan Snyder 2.0. Life is too short and I won't support a poor product long term if they have no hope of turning it around. I'm not there yet with the Panthers, but this thought is starting to enter into my head. I'm from Charlotte and I've been on this ride since day 1.

It is no secret that no LB or safety can guard CMC in coverage and most corners can't guard him either. I can't figure out why McAdoo cannot scheme plays that force a LB to cover CMC and previous inept OCs could at least do this. Or is Mayfield too short and these are the passes that keep getting batted down?

Any age is fine once the temperature cools off a bit. We have a 4 and 7 year old and haven't taken them to a football game yet mainly due to the fact that all of my teams are not good at the moment and I refuse to drop a bunch of money on 4 tickets to watch poor football.

Carolina has a 9 game losing streak which is worst stretch in the NFL. I’m not sure it can get much worse.

Agree and my biggest concern with Carolina is Tepper. I wish he would just write checks and stay out of everything but this isnt how he operates.

You are probably right. My point is change can be painful and we are going thru the painful part that most franchises go they when they have a major turnover. The grass isn’t always greener.

Our fan base wanted change so bad and here is change. Change isn’t easy and teams seem to miss on coaches about 50% of the time

Why didn't the Panthers run a screen at all to slow the pass rush down. I recall maybe seeing one screen pass. Garrett looked incredible and I'm not sure any LT would have stopped him. He reminded me of vintage Von Miller when he was unstoppable.

Mayfield looked awful in the first half and there is no disputing this. Not using CMC for essentially the entire game was and still is a head scratcher. The Panthers looked like a 5-6 win team on Sunday and I hope I am wrong. I'm an optimistic person, but I didn't see anything to be excited about. Even Horn looked bad.

I'm not convinced that CMC could not have played through most of those injuries. I feel like the team shut him down because they knew we were not competing for anything and RBs have limited time to play at an elite level.

I'm guessing the quote was taken out of context. He simply said he would have gone somewhere (hindsight) that had a QB competition. My guess is this quote was a response to the competition with Darnold and Baker for the starting job. This is a nothing article.

Don't discount Darnold. I know everyone wants him gone and I'm one of these people, but he knows the offense better and typically practices well. Plus, he started off last year playing very well until he got injured. This fanbase will implode if Darnold starts the season and it wouldn't surprise me.

Getting Mayfield and giving up something to get him are two different scenarios. I’m not opposed to Mayfield but he better be cheap.

Panthers shouldn't give up any draft picks for any QB available in the draft or free agency. With our defense, just let Darnold hand the ball of all game and occasionally make a play action pass. Maybe just let CMC play QB. We could probably win 8 or 9 games just by doing this.

I’d get Minshew and wait until next year to draft a rookie or go hard after a free agent. I don’t like any of the QBs this year in the 1st round.

No player and definitely not a franchise QB would chose to play for a team that is getting ready to fire their coach. It is shocking that Tepper does not understand this.

Minshew reminds me of Fitzgerald . . . never gets any love but just wins and is super likeable. Plus I like someone that can pull off a mullet.

Pick up a vet QB for cheap to compete with Darnold and save the draft pic and money for a franchise QB and improve the OL. We won’t do this bc Rhule is going to try to save his job and has too much power.

Good and I never wanted this guy anyway. I understand you can’t win with a team full of Boy Scouts, but I’d rather the leader of my team not have this baggage for the price you are going to pay. This looks terrible for Tepper bc he wanted Watson bad.

At this point we shouldn't acquire another player. No need to spend any of our cap and let the next coach make these decisions.

Why would Rhule walk away from a $60 million contract in his 2nd year. Seems it would be better to get fired and collect on the contract then go back to college football. Perhaps his ego can't handle this and he knows the NFL is too much for him.

Our staff believes in an elite defense. We don’t need Aaron Rodgers and if Cam can stay healthy and not turn the ball over, this team can go deep in the playoffs with Cam. Might not be this year, but next year if we can add to the OL looks promising.
