Foreman had a bad day last Sunday, it happens. I like him and I suspect he bounces back this weekend. By the way, the Ravens offense looked terrible as well. Our QB play is so bad that I suspect Darnold to look like Superman on Sunday. And Darnold is terrible.

DJ looks checked out to me and this is a problem. Competitors want to compete whatever the situation is. -
Jaycee Horn weighs in on the turf debate
jtm replied to PantherFanInPhilly's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is something the players union should handle. I doubt the savings is that great from turf to grass. I suspect most stadiums have gone to turf because it is easier to manage when you have concerts and non-sporting events. -
PJ got the highest PFF grade for a qb so far this year
jtm replied to uncfan888's topic in Carolina Panthers
His issue in the past has been turnovers and bad decision making. Hopefully he can get some confidence and run away with the starting job and nothing would make me happier. I think Rhule and company were so bad that you need to give just about every player a second chance. -
PFT ARTICLE: The Panthers slide squarely into tank mode
jtm replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
It doesn't work in the NFL because teams miss all the time with the #1 pick and Mayfield and Darnold are perfect examples. Can you imagine being a highly paid professional athlete and being asked to roll over for some amateur to come save the day. I played sports on a full ride in college and clearly you haven't played sports or not at a high level. I'll say it again . . . tanking is a loser mentality. -

And it doesn't work in the NFL and Mayfield and Darnold are two perfect examples. Can you imagine giving up to be rewarded with Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold when they were drafted as the saviors for the Jets and Browns. -

There has always been Shaq hate on this board and I don't get it. He's a top 15 linebacker in the league and I'd restructure before cutting him for the cap savings.

Jacob Eason… Come on down. Thoughts on his limited play?’

He can throw a spiral so give him a look -
Why is McAdoo still around?

First game for the Hornets, Bobcats, Bobcats renamed as Hornets, and Panthers was no different. Nothing in the US can come close to competing with the popularity of the NFL and not even college football. The ratings for the NFL compared to other sports is staggering. I'd find it very hard to imagine a situation where soccer was more important to Tepper than NFL football.

Mayfield needs a scheme designed for him specifically. If he has this, I think he's a potential starter. Mayfield is not a traditional pro style, drop back passer. Murray in the 2nd half last weekend is how we need to use Mayfield and he'll take hits, but he's not capable QB in the pocket all the time.

I'm more fearful of Tepper than Rhule because you can always replace a coach, but replacing an owner is much harder and they still make a ton of money even if they are terrible. I'm fearful we have Dan Snyder 2.0. Life is too short and I won't support a poor product long term if they have no hope of turning it around. I'm not there yet with the Panthers, but this thought is starting to enter into my head. I'm from Charlotte and I've been on this ride since day 1.

It is no secret that no LB or safety can guard CMC in coverage and most corners can't guard him either. I can't figure out why McAdoo cannot scheme plays that force a LB to cover CMC and previous inept OCs could at least do this. Or is Mayfield too short and these are the passes that keep getting batted down?

Any age is fine once the temperature cools off a bit. We have a 4 and 7 year old and haven't taken them to a football game yet mainly due to the fact that all of my teams are not good at the moment and I refuse to drop a bunch of money on 4 tickets to watch poor football.

Pic tells it all. Better fix that o line issue
jtm replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why didn't the Panthers run a screen at all to slow the pass rush down. I recall maybe seeing one screen pass. Garrett looked incredible and I'm not sure any LT would have stopped him. He reminded me of vintage Von Miller when he was unstoppable. -
Mayfield looked awful in the first half and there is no disputing this. Not using CMC for essentially the entire game was and still is a head scratcher. The Panthers looked like a 5-6 win team on Sunday and I hope I am wrong. I'm an optimistic person, but I didn't see anything to be excited about. Even Horn looked bad.
