It looked like he was open for most of the routes and he clearly wasn't the primary target except for the one route where he dropped a catchable ball. He doesn't look slow to me at all and he's a big receiver.

I guess but this doesn’t impact the fact that players need time to develop. Panthers lack patience and why they have been in constant rebuild. I know people that have worked with Dan Morgan and they rave about him. I’m going to trust these people and give him time to turn over this roster.

He’s not going anywhere. He’s the best blocking TE by far at this point and Canales is going to feed the rbs early and often

Some of the greatest players to ever play the game stunk it up the first couple of years. The Huddle is becoming tough to visit.

Here is an unfair generalization that I've heard a couple times and it makes sense to me. NFL players that come from NFL families (ie. Horn and CMC) often times aren't as willing to play through injury as other players. The theory is they are well advised because their dad's played professionally and know that playing injured shortens your career. Who knows, but this made sense to me when I heard it and I've heard this several times. My prediction is Horn is going to have a big year and be injury free.

I think he’ll be a top 15 fantasy receiver, but I don’t think the Panthers are going to throw the ball much and Canales likes to use TEs.

I’m thankful that we aren’t having to cheer for Deshaun Watson. At least Bryce is a good kid. Nothing will make me happier sports wise to see Bryce prove all the haters wrong. He’s such a likeable guy.

Mina Kimes asks Saints' DE Cam Jordan about Bryce Young's rookie season
jtm replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m giving the entire team a do over based on the coaching train wreck last year. We’ll know in the first couple of games where this team stands and whether or not the rebuild is going in the right direction. -
Art Stapleton (NY media) Jaycee Horn possible trade candidate
jtm replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yay, let's trade all of our good players for draft picks in hopes of getting more good players! -
I agree and this notion that the Panthers have been a dumpster fire forever also needs to stop. Panthers have been to two Super Bowls and not long ago chased a perfect season.

Who impressed & who needs to get his ass cut (Preseason week 1)
jtm replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Defense looked solid as expected with Evero. Matthews looked solid at TE. Everyone else on offense was trash and god help us if the starter gets injured and they have to play. -
Considering his relationship with Canales, I'm sure the coaches sat him down and told him that it wasn't looking like he was going to make the team and Penny decided it was time to wrap up his NFL career. There is no way that Penny walked away from a paycheck so let's stop the conspiracy theories.

Cam’s one of the largest QBs ever to play…what did you expect.

Ha ha, I just come here for entertainment these days and this thread did not disappoint.

The Carolina Panthers are hurtling towards threats of relocation
jtm replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm so over this team and Tepper that I honestly wouldn't care if he left Charlotte. The Panther's fan base is no different than the rest of the NFL with the exception of a couple teams. And I don't live in Charlotte any longer so I hope the city pays for the whole stadium . . . haha. -
Should the Carolina Panthers extend Diontae Johnson?
jtm replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Because I know people that have worked with him and they rave about how talented he is. But I understand where you are coming from and it is a fair point. -
Should the Carolina Panthers extend Diontae Johnson?
jtm replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
No way this happens because Morgan actually knows what he's doing. As a Panthers fan, I'd love to be talking about how much we are going to have to pay Johnson a year from now because he balls out. -
Near the bottom for sure, but at least we have a lot of new faces to watch this year so it should be entertaining at the beginning of the season. My Sundays aren't dedicated to Panthers football any longer until they can prove that the product is worth my time. Too much great weather in the fall to stay inside to watch bad football.

Will the Panthers be better than most are expecting?
jtm replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are a complete crap shoot this year like any team that has a brand new coaching regime and tons of new players on offense and defense. Us hard core fans are going to have to print a roster so we can follow the players because there are so many new faces. -
He's a likeable guy and we'll see how he responds when the bullets are flying. I'm cautiously optimistic but the Tepper regime has made sooooooooooo many bad moves that it is tough to trust anything he or his wife are involved with and I don't believe for a second that they didn't participate in this process. I have friends that work for several NFL teams and they say Dan Morgan is the real deal so this is encouraging.

It is pretty shocking that municipalities still fund stadiums in 2024.

For Those Who Think Brooks is too Small to be a 3 Down Back...
jtm replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Catching ability is the only thing that limits any NFL RB from being an every down back. This is a strength of Brooks or at least it was in college. He'll be an every down back for sure. -
For people that give Brady a fair shake, I suspect he'll be fantastic and he'll attract a non-football audience that no one else can. We all love Greg, but Brady's popularity is worldwide like Tiger Woods and there aren't many sports players in the world that have this kind of draw.
