If you’re comparing Corral to a former Panthers QB, Matt Moore is a more apt comparison than Jimmy Clausen. Clausen looked to check down quickly, whereas Corral keeps his eyes downfield longer — and has more mobility. But he needs more practice, and putting him in with a cast of UDFAs isn’t the way to develop him.
-
Lol no they don’t, and you’re giving up on him after about 35 snaps of NFL football. What a clown. Clausen had no arm strength. Corral puts more zip on a deep ball than Clausen could on a curl.
-
That’s fuging bullshit. Take it back to InsideCarolina. Sam Howell would be 0% better if he had garbage OL, WRs and Rhule to deal with.
-
In camp, Corral got far fewer reps than any rookie QB who was drafted. Paired with UDFA linemen, receivers and RBs for all but two possessions of this preseason. Had a great deep ball dropped that should’ve also been DPI. Avoided probably four sacks by sheer mobility. But because he didn’t play for UNC, he doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt.

PJ Walker is to Matt Rhule as Matt Rhule is to David Tepper.

Corral’s first deep hall was a perfect throw that would’ve been caught if it were a better WR. -
He ain’t going anywhere. Y’all just don’t get Rhule

Corral didn’t look great but he looked better than PJ. Still hard to say much with no protection and no separation. -

Walker is more likely to throw it between the uprights than to a WR in the red zone. He had a couple nice sidearm throws, but damn. Forget TDs unless it’s a long run -

Luke’s first game wasn’t bad. You definitely had people calling Cam a bust after his though. Because there are a lot of idiots on the Huddle. -

We're talking about Matt Rhule. I'll just leave it at that.

I would expect a similar arrangement as this in Week 1 of the regular season. Baker first and third quarters, Darnold second and fourth. Or Baker on first and third downs, Darnold on second and fourth if needed.
