Fitterer is the Rhule of GMs, and I've said it for at least two years now. He's burned through talent and not adequately replaced it, despite spending big bucks on some of the positions.

Can we go into that fugging stadium and win for once?
Carl Spackler replied to TNPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
No curse today. The team that won was better and they caught plenty of lucky officiating breaks, but they were better anyway. Felt like a Rhule game in the second half the way the offense and defense were sort of just slogging through, ready to get home, when it was tied 10-10. I'd like to feel like these guys play hard for Reich for 60 minutes. I said they would. They didn't, and he didn't inspire anyone with his strategy, either. And Bryce has to be better, but he'll get better. -

I think, with a rookie QB and to put it kindly, few weapons, you should take the points on the road. That set the tone. However, the people ragging on Bryce seem to forget he completed his first six passes. I don't know why I even bother arguing with a lot of people. Some of them are the same ones who told me Cam sucks and will never be worth a damn 4 weeks into his career, so what should I expect from this place? -

His first completion was a perfect spiral to Hurst in a tight window, and I don't think his skills eroded after that, nor did his muscles atrophy. What changed, though, was Atlanta pressed the WRs and took away his options to throw, so he lobbed the ball out of bounds. Those were the only "slow" passes I saw. -

Yeah, I mean the Bears are probably on the clock at the end of the year, but the rest of this season has to be about getting better. Fans were sold on an MVP quarterback from his first snap, which was what they chose to believe, and simply ignored the fact that he's a rookie on a dogshit team whose best weapon is probably Chuba Hubbard. -

Fitterer cut off his nose to spite his face, and he's gonna be a Consultant this time next year because of it. This team gutted most of its talent (the lone remaining piece is on his way out as well), and helped build the Chicago Bears into a perennial contender in the process. -

The problems we saw today (going for it unnecessarily, making a horrible call while going for it unnecessarily, no WR separation, listless offense) are probably gonna be issues all year. Other than a couple bad reads and 2 missed throws, Young was fine for a rookie QB. He just has abysmal weapons around him and that impacts any player. If he had Steve Smith to throw to instead of Adam Thielen, that would help. Leaning on Jeremy Shockey and Greg Olsen would also make life easier, as would handing off to DeAngelo and Stewart. Instead, he's surrounded by an OL that played better than expected, an abysmal offensive game plan, a free-agent Rb whose lone impact play was a lost fumble, and a room of one promising rookie and a slew of replacement-level WRs. Removing all that from consideration, the 2-minute give-up offense of running it on 2nd and 20 was ridiculous. Don't expect any comeback this year, because it appears there's no plan for that. -

I don't know that the Panthers are a top-31 team in terms of talent. Most of the good players were traded away, and their replacements are not very good. Coaching-wise, the calls were largely poor today, and the QB could've benefited from some wide receiver separation -- but looking at who he's throwing to, there just wasn't much. He missed some throws, as every rookie does, and he made some poor decisions. But by and large, my biggest gripes are with Reich's decision-making, and having to throw the ball away over and over because nobody's open. -

If Richardson were here he'd be 13-32, 127 yards, 3 INT, 11 carries, 71 yds, TD. -

Yeah i'd like to see that OPI, several curious calls today and each went in Atlanta's favor. But the gameplan wasn't good enough and no side of the ball -- or the coaches' decisions -- were deserving of a win -

The Huddle HATED Sam Darnold because he'd take shots into coverage bc of no separation. Not taking shots into coverage bc of no separation? Then you're Teddy Bridgewater -

I've asked this question before and haven't gotten an answer: if no one is open, do you take a shot and risk more INTs? What would you do in that scenario? I'd like to see an all-22 from this to get an idea of the effects of no separation. -

In all seriousness, and this coming from an Auburn fan, Cam Newton would struggle mightily with this mixture of coaching and offensive personnel. -

The only great NFL QBs are Sam Howell and Mitch Trubisky. -

Just an unprepared effort that went downhill from the moment that Bryce was 6-6 and we came away with 0 because of Reich. -

Reich's not getting fired unless this team wins 0-1 games. Fitterer, though, better start brushing up his resume, because he's the January casualty next year. -

I made a valid argument that you can only address with laughing emojis. Perhaps you should delete a bunch of your posts during UNC games, and people wouldn't be able to identify your bias as easily. When Maye had no WRs and couldn't make plays, it was the coaches' fault. When it's Young, he's not good. That's called a bias.
