Badgley was hot-cold at Miami. He missed quite a few kicks the year Miami was really good, but he also had a lot of good moments.

A guy from my alma mater (long before I went there) was signed by the Dallas Cowboys the day after the draft. Had a great preseason and stuck around. He played a game or two for them. The next year, they picked a guy at his position pretty high in the draft and he was a victim of the numbers game, but instead of cutting him they asked if he'd get surgery to get something removed (can't remember what, but something you obviously can live without), so they could stash him on IR and not expose him to other teams. He told them to fug off.

Smart move. Jansen is one of the best at his craft. Good to see them recognize that.

Thanks for the concern, I’m good.

Yeah I’d definitely take Gilbert. I just don’t have much faith in this leadership to make the decision that’s smartest. Long snapper is the next mistake they’re trying to make.

I get where you're going with this, but it's bad optics to any non-homer when a guy looked really bad in the preseason, like never completing half his passes, but is awarded a job over a guy who out-performed him. A comparable analogy would be if I hired said person for my startup even though they were clearly unqualified for the position and in so doing, I fired the person who was starting to be pretty decent. In addition, I ignored any option to hire externally or seek someone better than the person who I chose solely based on prior opinion.

I mean he just shitposts all the time. No shock he also hates Cam.

No one cares who you're behind

Generally.

The issue is beyond simply PJ being a bad backup QB. The issue is it sends the message that alma mater is more important than performance. That's not something any coach should be known for.
-
A coach can build the best team of players, or he can build a team of players he knows. Rarely can both occur at the same time. This isn't one of those occasions, as evidenced by his keeping a subpar player over someone who beat him (or, even signing someone better than both).

I mean, if Rhule were stuck on LSU players or Clemson players it'd make more sense, but Temple and Baylor aren't exactly powerhouses. As a result, we aren't, either.
-
This is the same fanbase that eviscerated Ron for playing favorites, but they love Rhule for playing favorites. Who knows? Maybe we'll win the AAC and be a Top 25 team this season.

I mean more in the sense of being a lead blocker for a RB.

Panthers cut Will Grier - PJ Wins backup QB spot

So if you think he was terrible, how would you describe someone who was 3x as bad as him? -
Sucks to see Cam as a journeyman these days.
-
Considering how we're the kings of failed 4th-and-1 conversions, it'd make sense to value the FB. Maybe the next coaching staff will do so.
-
He's a good player who didn't go to Temple. Next.

I'm really just a year or two ahead of everyone else when I say I don't like our GM and I don't like our coach. I've said I didn't like Rhule since last fall, though, and I will continue to get flamed for not loving that clown until we're one of the three worst teams in the league and everyone says "Rhule sucks!" Been through it before...

Fitterer's gonna get rid of Jansen and keep Fletcher, because Fletcher did a worse job in camp and the rule is that you gotta go with the subpar player, because reasons.

Funny how they hated Ron for doing it, but Rhule doing it is A-OK. -
Well, JJ Jansen is also a good non-Temple player, so I'm assuming we trade him for a late-round pick so we can use the shitty LS we drafted who at no point, per the Panthers' reporters, did he look like he was anything as good as Jansen.
-
It'd be nice, but he didn't go to Temple.

I think that's what I was doing, by saying that he pushes the ball downfield, which is great, but the passes aren't catchable, which confirms his lack of accuracy, because the only reason he is in the NFL is because of Matt Rhule being a clown. -

"Wins" is also a misnomer. "Is Awarded Due To His Alma Mater" is more accurate.
