3 years ago, Cam Newton was our starting QB, Luke was still playing, Ron was coaching, Burns was a rookie and none of us had ever heard of Matt Rhule.

I've had only one bad experience with other fans at a game, and it was a drunk Panthers fan who was so impossible we just moved and sat somewhere else. She reeked of vodka before kickoff. I enjoy hitting up Fan Fest to see the stars/rookies/new signings but as far as regular season games go, considering how many I've already attended, unless it's a free ticket I'd rather just chill at home.

I saw a Steve Beuerlein jersey last night, dude gets an A+

I think the secondary and linebackers deserve some credit for covering WRs to the point that Baker and Darnold had to go to second and third reads. Burns batted down one pass at the line and seemed to be playing with some big-time energy. That said, yeah it's still kinda strange to see Fan Fest be a glorified practice (with a cool fireworks show) as opposed to the old days of full pads and tackling everybody but the quarterback. But who knows? Maybe we'll get some pride stickers on helmets this year, and we can redshirt Corral to buy another year of contract control.

Fun night. The crowd ended up being fairly decent and so did the secondary. Most of the QBs' passes weren't exactly on target, but in an environment like that, you'd rather sort out the kinks early anyway.
