Give me three players that impressed you on Saturday
Carl Spackler replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Barno, Gonzalez and Keith Kirkwood -
Rhule would cut Baker before he cut Walker.
-
Matt Corral, though, is 1-0 in fourth-quarter comebacks.
-
PJ Walker beat a team that scored 0 points. Literally a FG and it's a win. Cam Newton beat the Cardinals, but PJ Walker got credit.
-
Petrino is like Rhule + 10 percent.

Player snap counts vs Commanders

Don't be so sure. Maybe he gets IR'd next week. I can tell you this: Walker isn't getting cut. Ever. -

There are numerous examples of how bad Rhule is at his job. Will Grier destroyed PJ Walker last preseason, but was cut because he didn't play for Temple. Now, Grier has the inside line on Dallas' backup QB job and has gotten rave reviews from coaches and media throughout camp. Corral will meet the same fate in 3 weeks, when the headlines entering Week 1 are about how the hapless Panthers traded up for a QB they didn't let practice in camp, who barely got any preseason run, and who got cut so the Temple-Baylor Job Bank could stay in business. Ekwonu, on another team, is starting preseason week 1. Here, he's gonna be a healthy scratch at least 10 weeks out of the year. Matt Rhule has had a hand in 3 drafts now, and out of about 25 picks he's made one (1) good one: Jeremy Chinn. Man makes Hue Jackson look like Bill Belichick. -
The thing I don't understand is when Sam Howell couldn't get off a pass because of poor OL play at UNC, well, I mean, you can't blame him. But when Matt Corral couldn't get off a pass because of poor OL play yesterday, including three occasions where he had less than a second in the pocket, well, I mean, that's entirely his fault

Matt Rhule is the worst coach in NFL history.
-
Imagine how much booing there will be this November when Walker trots out again. How loud can 2500 fans get?
-
I bet you he cuts Corral in 3 weeks, and Ekwonu starts 0 games this year. Honestly, I don't think any rookie will start a single game. Ekwonu likely gets scratched for the first half of the season.

This fan base is going to need to prepare itself for Corral to get cut, then light it up somewhere else later this season. P.J. Walker will play most of the next two games, because he's Rhule's favorite player and whether he does better or worse doesn't matter. He could go 0-16 for 0 yards and 7 INTs, and he's still not getting cut. -
As serious as Matt “Comeback” Corral
-
There’s a decent possibility no draft pick starts a game this year under Rhule.
-
I’m rooting hard for Ekwonu because if he flops, Matt Rhule will have made one good pick in three drafts. His hit rate is ghastly as it is.
-
Zane Gonzalez was great again
-
Amare Barno was pretty damn good, as was Spencer Brown. Cade Mays got called for that false start but he was giving a good push on the OL.
-
Every tackle’s gonna get beat once or twice a game because of the skill level of the league, but if he’s also creating good push most of the time then it’s all good
-
Anybody see anything good, bad, in between?
-
First win since mid-November

This is no place for such intelligence.

He’ll be fine as a QB, what happens against third-stringers doesn’t make much of a difference and I continue to maintain he’s not being adequately developed. But dude will get a couple more games to show some improvement. -

Matt Corral had negative amounts of pass protection, but he’s still 1-0 on game-winning drives. Nothing but facts
