  1. Contract is cheap. He's viewed as one of the league's best. Pretty simple. Rhule drafted a long snapper who couldn't carry Jansen's jockstrap. It's not like he's immediately replaceable. People need to pump the brakes on their urgency in showing the door to players who are generally tougher to replace than they think.
  2. JJ Jansen has been here for 15 years and is still excellent. Why the hell would he be let go?
  3. I’m also good with Darnold back as a backup, but I think Reich may want to go draft pick - Corral - Eason, or draft pick - Eason - Corral.
  4. Bozeman, Foreman, Jansen and Pineiro need to be here. I'd like to keep Shaq on a decent deal as well, but I think between Shaq's outspokenness about a guy Tepper didn't hire, and his outspokenness about a grass field Tepper won't use, he's as good as gone.
  5. Big props to Wilks. He did an excellent job as interim coach and made us relevant. I would love to have him back on staff, but I understand he's also a candidate elsewhere.
  6. I'll never understand the undue Wilks hate. It's more rooted in emotion than logic. That said, Frank was my first choice with Wilks second.
  7. I disagree, I was at the Vegas airport reading about that trade thinking "this Fitterer dude got fleeced," and for what it's worth, Henderson didn't play for the worst coach in NFL history until he got here.
  8. Matt Rhule got a bunch of interest and interviews. That means either he's a bonafide NFL head coach, or -- hear me out -- the NFL's shittiest front offices can't spot talent so they make a get-rich-quick scheme of a hire.
  9. People can't accept that you can believe Wilks did a really good job with what he had to work with (especially when, in losing to TB 30-24, he was down to practice squad-caliber CBs) and not be in love with mediocrity. As is with everything on here, it has to be in absolutes.
  10. I get the feeling that Payton has never once seriously considered coaching here. I also think his second term as HC of a team will likely end up similar to Mike Ditka's with the Saints.
  11. Absolutely this. Somebody like Nathaniel Hackett, the coaching version of a shitty retread QB
  12. Terry Rozier, on his best day, is half the player LaMelo is on his worst day. Stephen Jackson was a shot-jacking SG who couldn't touch LaMelo. Ditto Mason, a solid point-forward whose ceiling was a foundation below LaMelo's floor. I'm a fan of all those guys, but these are atrocious comparison. Muggsy averaged 7 points and 7 assists per game for his career. I've seen LaMelo do that in one quarter. He averages 19 points and 7 assists per game and this season, is averaging 23.5 ppg and 8 apg. Dell Curry was a great sixth man, but he's no LaMelo. That's like saying respected backup Josh McCown was better than MVP Cam Newton. Baron Davis was about 3/4 of LaMelo. Again, I'm a fan of everyone you mentioned, and some are my favorite players of all time. But just no.
  13. If LaMelo's the 19th-best Hornets player of all time I'd sure as hell like to see the 18 in front of him
  14. It does sort of seem that Tepper is the mark of owners, just a source of "haha look what this idiot tried"
  15. within a year he'll be head and shoulders below everyone else
  16. Dave Wannstedt did a great job here in an injury-riddled 2004. People forget that
  17. Cousins with big Teddy Midwater energy
  18. Sean Payton's not coming here. Asking price aside, he's too old and too experienced for Tepdaddy.
