Here’s a dose of reality: - Under pressure 28.6% of dropbacks Week 1 - Under pressure 43% of dropbacks Week 2 The offensive line can’t protect him. But yeah, doing the same thing again in another game that doesn’t count is super smart.

Saying the starting QB can get injured in a meaningless preseason game is not an opinion.
-
Listen, I respect the endless, blind optimism that you and, more especially, @TheCasillas, espouses with every post. I don't know that he's on the Panthers' PR team -- I just know that he's even more optimistic than the most biased content they could possibly produce. And that's great. But because a few teams do something, that doesn't make it smart. It means they're also opening themselves up to a major risk.

I distinctively recall breaking down, one-by-one, the reasons why it made no sense to do that. The fact that you don't like what I said doesn't, by default, disprove a thing.
-
What makes the last preseason game so meaningful to you?
-
It's not wishful thinking, but keep the passive-aggressiveness coming. It's great -- only thing is, nothing I said is inaccurate. I don't care if Reich is here for 20 years as long as he wins. There's a wide berth between wishful thinking and willfully ignoring the possibility of something happening.

You don't seem to understand the point I was trying to make. I guess I can break it down for you and we'll see how well your reading comprehension skills adjust: Frank Reich playing Bryce Young in the last preseason game is stupid. Bryce Young is the starting QB. The last preseason game does not mean a damn thing. If the starting QB gets hurt in the last preseason game, he can't play. If he can't play, Dalton and Corral would be the QBs. If Dalton and Corral are the QBs, this team is fuged. With a horrible record, yes, even Reich could get fired.
-
What part do you not understand?

Kunkel may in fact know less than the average fan, I remember in 2019 when he said Taylor Heinicke was beating out Kyle Allen and Will Grier to be QB2, and then he got cut a week later
-
Memba when a bunch of people had a meltdown bc we didn't pick him over Derrick Brown
-
Sell it to someone else. 17 games of Dalton and Corral can easily do the trick.
-
It's a recipe for disaster and a year-one firing. And the plus side is what, points in a preseason game?
-
It's popular to downplay Chark, but looking at this WR lineup, it makes the 2017 Panthers WRs look like the 1998 Vikings.
-
Playing starters in the last preseason game is stupid.
-
What did he do that made you think he's not ready? Throw downfield to covered WRs for INTs? You a big Sam Darnold guy?
-
What did he do to make you arrive at this idiotic conclusion
-
He’s not.

Broadway Jake Luton

Wow good throw from Corral
-
So if he throws deep, no one's open, and it gets picked, does that make him better? I just don't get that logic. I haven't seen one play where someone was open beyond 10 yards past the line of scrimmage. I've seen absolutely no separation.

I don't see a lot to gain in waiting til the last second and taking a deep shot and a wicked hit in a meaningless preseason game. I think you knew that I meant he takes what's there in the preseason, because it's the preseason.
-
I say all that, given that Bryce wasn't my first choice, but I think he's been good
-
He's got a stronger arm than I thought. Love his ball placement to Chark last week away from the DB. Really love the ball he threw to Mingo tonight as well as the 25-yarder to Hurst that got called back. He takes what's there.
