  1. I would not trade up for a quarterback not named Lawrence or Fields. Not even for Zach Wilson. I want Lance, but if someone trades up to 4 for him, have at it. He'd go 25th overall most any other year and if we got him at 8, I'd think it was a reach but I'd support it.
  2. Sad that my first thought was "I guess the Bills didn't offer a contract."
  3. There is no acceptable case in which Teddy is the starter for most of next season.
  4. "Lattimore" will always be Marcus Lattimore to me IYKYK
  5. Yeah, it pisses me off because I was going to throw a G or two at some good season tickets, but I'm definitely not doing it for the location in that price range.
  6. The fee to make sure Tepper doesn't spend a dime on the Charlotte FC fan experience takes me back to Snyder's halcyon days of engineering ticket prices for Redskins training camp. You all are free to think Tepper is the GOAT all you like, obviously. But I remain to be convinced that Charlotte FC won't be the MLS' answer to the MLB's Seattle Pilots.
  7. - The cheapest non-General Admission season ticket costs $980 per seat, which is higher than every other MLS franchise and higher than the most expensive options at 17 of the 20 Premier League clubs in Europe. - The GA/Supporters Section tickets cost $27 per match, also one of the highest in Major League Soccer. - Tepper engineered the MLS' first-ever PSL campaign, forcing ticket buyers to foot the bill for his expansion fee. - In addition to the costs listed above, every season ticket purchase includes a $50 fee which is promised to cover the costs to "improve the fan experience" with things like smoke, signage, etc. - The squad, limited as it is now, does not reflect the prices the fans will pay. - Lastly, it's worth noting that at a free MLS NEXT match among Charlotte FC and Atlanta United academy teams last October at BOA, roughly 500 fans showed up (it was not a good look for the optics re: demand, far before the exorbitant ticket prices)
  8. I also think that Tepper’s most ardent supporters don’t care about soccer, because if they did, they wouldn’t be his most ardent supporters. A quick look at Charlotte FC speaks volumes as to Tepper’s potential to be another Snyder. I can post facts if the defenders would like.
  9. Thanks for the response. Some valid points, but others worth considering. He’s invested some in new facilities and taxpayers have also invested. As for losing our former MVP QB, that was a Tepper call. Same with losing Thomas Davis and James Bradberry. Luke opted to retire. Regarding your last question, it’s been three years and we are 17-31. How much time should pass before we render a verdict, then? Another 15 years?
  10. Is he, though? As far as not having any allegations against him, sure. But aside from putting the logo at midfield, what's he done to build a winner?
  11. So proud to root for the AAA affiliate of the Buffalo Bills.
  12. This. I’m not expecting more than three or four wins unless we make a big upgrade at QB and even then, it's questionable. Nothing we’ve done or really been able to do yet can free us from the inevitable 1-5 NFCS record.
  13. It should be, “Why do the MLS authorities need a club in Charlotte?”
  14. I'm a bit skeptical that it'll last that long, especially given the questionable sources. People are rightfully more likely to react negatively, even compared to Vick as recent as 2007, but I think it'll take a bit more to completely discredit a man's career. For a more apples-to-apples example, see NASCAR driver Kurt Busch and the baseless assault allegations against him in 2015. He was taken out of the car for a couple weeks, even removed from his team's website, then it was solved within a month.
  15. I have a hard time believing that if Watson said he wanted to retire a Texan, this would've still happened.
