  1. We’ve only waited eight years for a left tackle, what’s eight more?
  2. He’s already changed our culture from one of seven wins to one of five wins.
  3. Thank God for the Hornets and Hurricanes. I’m losing interest fast in this sinking ship.
  4. I’m curious, which pick does 59 become? One in the 60s, 70s or 80s?
  5. Then those fourths? You guessed it, they’re gonna be so many fifths. We might have a 1999 Saints draft. Just one guy
  6. We’re gonna trade all these thirds for so many fourths.
  7. Yep, it gets lower with every decision made.
  8. It did a great job, but it also means we didn't do our job
  9. https://sports.yahoo.com/panthers-switching-from-natural-grass-to-artificial-turf-with-addition-of-charlotte-mls-team-210807487.html Fresh off historically high season-ticket prices and blazing a trail with PSLs for an MLS franchise, Charlotte FC has followed its phenomenal ticket roll-out with news that the squad will compete on a pitch comprised of turf instead of natural grass. Long derided by soccer/association football players, this decision follows a consistent trend with the new franchise. What will they think of next?
  10. Hope he’s more Chris Gamble than Rashard Anderson for sure
  11. Physically, Jaycee Horn matches up well as a corner. Let’s hope his athleticism makes him a tough cover and that the DL makes life easier on him. But in this division, he’s likely to look horrible as a rookie. Maybe not. I’ll be hopeful. I just don’t trust Tepper/Rhule/Fitterer farther than I can throw an aircraft carrier.
  12. If Darnold is good then this pick will largely be forgiven.
  13. Honestly man, it just gives me the same vibes as the MKG pick in 2012: taking a mediocre player all around superstars and forcing the fanbase to convince themselves for five years that it wasn’t so bad. I felt like he was not the best corner in the draft. But it was a need, so there is that. I sure hope he does a great job, but there’s also this concern he gives up 6/117/2 to Antonio Brown and we’re patting ourselves on the back. I don’t know. Some of it is also probably pessimism because I don’t trust anyone on our staff not named Luke.
  14. Don’t get me wrong, I hope Horn does a great job. I’m just not convinced he will and I get the feeling this will set us back.
  15. I think some of this is I wanted Surtain and feel like we wasted a season to get a mediocre cornerback, but I don’t bat 1.000 and hope this dude comes in and kicks ass. Realistically, neither corner (or most any corner) is going to do that as a rookie. I was hoping for a trade down as soon as Sewell fell. But since we wanted Horn so bad, we got him.
  16. I re-read the 2012 Luke pick thread a few days ago, out of curiosity. It was overwhelmingly in favor of Luke. Not unanimous by any means, but most people were happy with it.
  17. god that has 2000s Browns written all over it. I hope this guy comes in and does well. If he can be Bradberry-like, great. Anything less and Fitterer is already on my bad side
  18. If we suck bad enough, he does. Teddy had three years to prove himself, and he’s already out the door. Tepper’s impatience is fairly obvious at this point.
  19. I’m hoping this is more like 2005 when I didn’t want Thomas Davis, and less like the Timberwolves picking Jonny Flynn over Steph Curry
  20. The worst part is Horn isn’t as good as Jackson. At least, he won’t be this season. It’s gonna take him time to contribute (if he does). I’m trying to be realistic and certainly hope he does a good job, but I just think we fuged it up royally. Again.
  21. I think more people ranked Surtain higher. Surtain is less of an inside corner than Horn, but with the available players on the board and this being the pick, it’s reasonable to think we blew it. But hey, if we do, then Rhule gets fired in January. And if we don’t, great. We made a good pick.
  22. We tanked the second half of the season for a mediocre CB
