  1. Damn, you hate him so much. Did he bang your daughter or something?
  2. When considering the damage Rhule has done -- and continues to do -- to the franchise, then no, it is not a stretch to rank him with Hue Jackson. Jackson's best season far exceeds anything Rhule has or ever will accomplish.
  3. If you wanted Watson and he doesn’t choose here, blame Tepper for hiring and committing to the worst head coach in NFL history. But also, while I’d like to say the draft picks and key guys are safe, don’t Rhule out a future first and a core player for a different version of Darnold.
  4. Well, there won't be a core if he's traded here. The core will be the one coming here, surrounded by a roster that wouldn't make the USFL playoffs and a slob coach who gets a long leash because he was a short-order cook.
  5. I advocate holding onto the best running back in the NFL, a multi-position All-Pro player who's been healthy since Christmas and was held out to tank. But for a good price (an actually good one, not a second-round pick Rhule will use on some loser he recruited), I would be willing to part with most any non-Burns or Moore player. I want a plan in place that offsets the recent stupidity. I want to extend Moore, fortify the offensive line, and fire Matt Rhule. I want to keep Brian Burns, a Pro Bowl DE on a rookie contract, and I want to add a run-stuffing DT in the draft.
  6. The problem is you're giving Houston the 5 in your 5-12, and you're keeping what got you the 12. It's the football version of an NBA club pairing Kyrie Irving with a team of rec-ballers, but selling it as progress. Doing something different is just that: doing something different. I don't advocate silly risks from a front office that is batting .000 on any kind of critical decision (Bridgewater, Darnold, trading a 3rd and Arnold for a trash CB, etc.)
  7. You think giving up all your high draft picks for three years, plus all of your good players equals winning MORE?
  8. The price is too high. He’s a good player but you’re just giving the Texans a couple Super Bowls. And, obviously, giving this franchise the death knell many expected from Tepper.
  9. The defense may not force five punts all season. 2015 Saints will look like the ‘85 Bears.
  10. I would not give up Brian Burns or DJ Moore if it were me. So that means both are gone.
  11. Yetur Gross-Matos and Darryl Johnson as starting DEs would definitely net the Texans No. 1 overall.
  12. He retired bc he wasn’t up for the grind anymore. Wasn’t about unruly or uncontrollable. Other than the time he shat himself
  13. I’m thinking it’s a done deal. Nobody is more desperate than Tepper. He’d give them all 53 players and every first-round pick for 100 years if he had to.
  14. The problem with that, is that Watson has to be coerced to play here, and a quarterback wants weapons to play with. "C'mon, Deshaun. In Charlotte, you can play in an empty stadium full of opposing teams' fans, and you get to throw to Robby Anderson, Tommy Tremble AND Ian Thomas! Plus you can learn from Matt Rhule, and hand off to Chuba Hubbard!"
  15. It'll pan out as well as the Darnold investment, or a major investment in Blockbuster and Enron.
  16. Worst owner in American pro sports by far. Sad that Charlotte has 3 of the 6 worst owners in American pro sports history. Bottom half-dozen to me are Tepper, Marge Schott, Donald Sterling, George Shinn, Dan Snyder and Bob Johnson (not in that order).
  17. Matt Rhule gets a pass because: 1) he was a short-order cook 2) he dresses like a slob
  18. Tepper's gonna be the first pro sports owner in U.S. history to own the worst teams in two different sports leagues at the same time. Be even funnier when they both have the worst seasons in the history of their respective leagues. That's on Tepper, Rhule and Zoran Krneta.
  19. This trade is easily, easily, going to go down as the worst, most lopsided trade in NFL history -- until Tepper tops it.
  20. My belief is also that they will give up every good player on the roster, but realistically I'd expect Burns and Chinn to be kept. No Reddick raises Burns' value here.
