  1. Here is another source. Slightly different numbers but the point is the same.
  2. Bough $400 of liquor today. Bring on the quarantine!
  3. Please take this garbage to political so the grown ups can continue this thread.
  4. ^ There aren't going to be riots and nobody is advocating for martial law. We need to do what the rest of the world is doing and stay the hell home. In the USA we have too many people who think its business as usual. Don't need tanks in the streets but fine people for going out for no reason.
  5. I don't care to whom you are referring. I will bitch a about this country as I like.
  6. My anti-American sh* is not passive at all if that helps. Neither is my pro-American sh*t.
  7. PA is closing some its state run liquor stores. I know where i am going tomorrow.
  8. Agree. This is why we need the federal government to make some more definitive decrees.
  9. We don't know the long term affects of the virus. Maybe those who got Covid when they were you have an increased risk of cancer later. Also we may not know the exact mortality rate but young people are dying. This article suggests at a rate similar to SARS (.2%).
  10. This isn't terribly different than what is happening here. Just slower and at a state and municipal level. Schools are closing and almost all sports cancelled and many companies are encouraging working remotely. Problem is we don't have the sense of collectivism. Some politicians are encouraging people to go out. Heck I got lectured on here by some dipstick yesterday for self quarantining. "Gubmint can't tell me what to do! This is America damnit!
  11. Nah. Here is what is affected. https://freethoughtblogs.com/kriswager/2020/03/12/shutdown-of-denmark/
  12. This is the rugged individualism that has helped build the country but also makes us look like idiots sometimes.
  13. This. The world is saying stay inside if you can. I can and don't mind. If you can stay inside it is irresponsible not to. Plus i have a fun house and get along with my family. No sports hurts though.
  14. Wife is stay at home and kids are online. Whatever argument you are having with yourself you can claim victory.
  15. Half right. I started my own firm 10 years ago. Last year I sold off 75% of it allowing me to be off from May - December. But I do live with a wife, 2 kids, a dog and some cats.
  16. A few problems here. This is very much like the gun control argument that car crashes kill as much as guns maybe we should ban them too. We spend millions or billions on making cars safe and one has to go through regulatory hoops to own one. We also spend millions or billions on mitigating things like heart disease and cancer. And the healthcare system is ready to battle those things daily. It is not ready to be overwhelmed by a pandemic. If you told me a new cancer was here that would kill an extra 100M* Americans in the next twelve months I think we would want to do something about it. *I don't know what the number will be but its a possibility,
  17. GoToMeeting would be the other one (LOGM). Zoom has had a bigger dip but neither have been decimated. For work purposes I use GoToMeeting but I tested both and they are pretty similar. Would be tempted to invest in both as it seems like a possible merger/acquisition play. Trump announce a suspension of outbound cruise ship activity that may send some of those stocks diving on Monday. My next buying point is when (if) the dow hits 21,000 and i will be looking at Disney and Norwegian. But I haven't compared other cruise stocks.
  18. Have bought AAL twice. Unless they go bankrupt there is a huge upside potential.
