I was a Bryce stan, loved the draft pick. Transitioned over 2023 to a firm believer that he was never going to be an NFL starting caliber QB. Now I am just waiting and seeing. Glad to have him start to win me back. It's nice to not be a complete laughingstock. That's one that that people have largely missed. The national media as moved on from us being the NFL laughingstock. That's impressive.

It's far too early to be crowning Bryce much like it was far too early to be crowning Stroud much like it is far to early to be crowning Daniels....etc, etc. Best QB in a draft takes years to figure out(usually). I am just happy Bryce is even bringing this illogical discussion up after last year and early this season. I am gonna focus on that huge W.

He is a significantly more NFL ready guy than Wallace now but he is also a lot older. I also probably would have rather had Wilson but I completely understand the reasons to avoid him. The same reasons we should have avoided a far lower value position in RB in the 2nd. I am way less perturbed about taking Wallace over Wilson than I am Brooks over Frazier. That's a lightspeed stupid move that most intelligent Huddlers could have even made while above a legal driving BAC limit.

It's literally the weakest position on the OL and has been from Corbett to BC to Mays. Why not get a top center? I mean, they are literally the cheapest of all OL.

It's so fuging infuriating that people cannot see something that is so simple. A top 5 RB is already at an AAV of almost $8.5 mil.

Not cleaned/trimmed properly if it is fishy.

poo, Corum isn't anything compared to the typical guys. Irving and Tracy Jr. are both 1000 yard offensive guys that were 4th and 5th rounders. That's why I get so fuging frustrated with taking 1st and 2nd round RB's. We many, many years into being able to find top 15 RB's in the later rounds.

Actually the first half of the 1st was the most dominant of the entire game. We DESTROYED them but only got one goal. That sucked a lot. They won the lattet half of the first and basically all the 2nd. We can't keep crapping our pants for significant stretches of the game, that is for sure.

Great job battling through a lot of issues to get the W.
-
The fact they got out of the 1st without being down at least 3 goals was nuts. We were shelling them.
-
Well, scrapping to try and get this win. Literally cannot afford this kind of loss.
-
This one ain't the goalie. We have had umpteen grade A chances and they aren't getting in. The defensive breakdowns are continuing, as well.
-
We are officially in a funk.

Underwhelming start. Dominated early, they got momentum and Kochetkov allowed a VERY leaky goal. Not great, not terrible. This is a "get right" game, though. We gotta really pour it on and get back to Canes hockey.

Remember when a few weeks ago the tankers were fuming that we were winning games? "CuLtUrE dOeSn'T mAtTeR!!! mUh DrAfT pIcKs!!!!" -
Having a top 5 or 10 RB is probably the dumbest possible move we could make. I don't care how good that kid is, he is not moving the needle enough to justify immediately being a top 10 paid RB, which he would be. You can get a top tier RB in the 4th or 5th round. This literally happens almost every year. It's not just insane, it's purely retarded to be taking a RB in the first or second round unless you are a completely built team with minimal needs outside RB.

Icky reminds me a little of Andrew Thomas who REALLY got some heat for the beginning of his career. Hopefully he also is able to ascend to the level Thomas has. That would be phenomenal. I do think he always will be a better run blocker than pass blocker, although he has certainly made strides in that arena. The biggest thing he needs to work on is the penalties. It has slowed down but he still leads the OL in penalties on the year.
-
That would be very Tepper Panthers indeed.
-
Indeed. More Coker's and less TMJ/Mingo/XL's please. Get ACTUALLY fundamentally sound WR's. If it ends up being a Nabers/Jefferson type, even better. But the beginning and end of the WR discussion should be about how fundamentally sound of a WR you are.

Chuba's contract is not bad at all. What he jumped the gun on was Brooks. Chuba was already an effective back, so why spend valuable second round resources on another RB, especially one with literally higher price point(at that time)? I also think we have likely seen the last of Brooks, unfortunately. I know people reference the TD's and Gore's but those are outliers. I highly doubt Brooks will ever be the same RB as he was in college after this. It will take a tremendous amount of mental strength to be able to trust that knee ever again. Regardless, you have to pivot and get a late round RB or free agent RB unless you want to be stuck with Sanders. Blackshear is not a realistic option as a #2 RB.
