  1. We better get a HELL of a lot of makeup calls for that BS.
  2. Time for a win to make all this improved goaltending worthwhile
  3. That's what I mean, none of those options work if Tepper keeps up this idea that Young is the future.
  4. I mean we have one in Dalton. He is as good or better than those two. It's a matter of actually doing anything with it.
  5. Oh you mean we "basement dwellers" as he has referred to Panthers fans several times?
  6. 100%. I don't want anymore physical specimens that supposedly run 4.4 40's that there is zero evidence of on tape. We got enough of that, thanks.
  7. Oh our drafting has been mocked plenty.
  8. Harbaugh has a proven track record. Ben Johnson has zero track record. Not saying I wouldn't be happy to have him but those guys are opposite ends of the scale, IMO.
  9. Oh I don't think it was her. Her source was probably from the original article and got figured out. Now they are doing damage control.
  10. I am in the shadow of Ann Arbor and the rumor mill here is quite the opposite.
  11. fug the RAS, give me natural playmakers and offensive weapons. No more TMJ's or Mingo's.
  12. Harbaugh is living on borrowed time in college. He incensed the NCAA by literally not cooperating with a very trivial investigation, causing them to throw the book at him. Now the entire Big Ten flipped on him about the sign stealing which the NCAA hasn't even delved into yet. He would be a buffoon to not pull a Pete Carroll and get out of dodge ahead of the coming storm.
  13. It was a single source quoted in the article so I highly doubt the veracity of those claims. I genuinely don't think he had any meaningful self reflection nor did he learn anything important. His "self reflection" was probably basically, "I shouldn't have hired that dumbass coach." That is about as deep as it gets.
  14. Yeah, I can't even say I have that hope anymore. I don't see Tepper getting out of his own way. Synder tried it for a bit but he was back to his old shenanigans after long.
  15. I mean......at this point, I can handle that as a step in the right direction. Gettleman is so far ahead of the Tepper/Fitterer combo it is sad. This coming from a guy who considers Gettleman the second worst GM in franchise history.
  16. He will never see that he is the sole problem. The only one. And he won't see it because he's an old, arrogant prick. The entire world and NFL saw him intentionally mispronounce name of the head coach he just fired. If that petty nonsense doesn't literally signal to the entire NFL coaching community who he is, I don't know what will. He is just wealthy trailer trash.
  17. We are a quite a few years into that trend overall, though. It will be somewhat lessened by the NIL(players are already staying because the money is better in college) but it also doesn't make a lot of good financial sense(from a prospective NFL Draft pick) to play in essentially a glorified exhibition game. Unless you are in the playoffs, most of these games are meaningless. Keep in mind the CFB playoffs is expanding, so some of these issues will be solved that way.
  18. Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper is unlikely to pursue Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh for the team's head coaching vacancy, a source told Dianna Russini of The Athletic. Tepper had conversations with Harbaugh last year before hiring Frank Reich, Russini adds. Harbaugh is expected to draw interest from NFL clubs with head coaching vacancies. The 60-year-old has been with Michigan since 2015 after a four-year stint with the San Francisco 49ers. Harbaugh could face further discipline from the Big Ten and NCAA as a result of their investigation into a sign-stealing scandal that already saw the Wolverines' boss receive a three-game ban from the sidelines. https://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/2802382
  19. The biggest thing he can do to signal his accountability is to hire an outside agency to get us a new GM. Then let the GM hire the coach he chooses. Then let the coach hire the coaches he wants. That it. Just operate like a normal motherfuging NFL franchise. Not a fuging George Steinbrenner run, Daniel Snyder fantasy football team.
  20. Yes but the reality is that there were several iconic bowls that people watched at a time when viewing/sports options were limited and EVERYONE just watched those bowls. Some of those bowls still draw a general audience but overall the bowls have been in a place where only really the fanbases of the schools involved really care for at least three decades now. The glut of bowls absolutely exacerbated the problem. It diluted the pool but the revenue from TV deals made it worthwhile to the ever more money hungry college football world.
  21. The portal and NIL are positive changes that will have extremely minimal impact. The biggest issues are engagement in younger demographic and the entire model is built on TV revenue/TV ad revenue going up forever. It's essentially the housing market from the late 2000's. Plus college football keeps moving to make their product more exclusive and more expensive to get in a market where younger people just don't have standard TV. This is the same thing I have thrown at the NFL for several years now. There is a reckoning coming because they believe they can be the kings of the sports world forever. Well, talk to Major League Baseball about how that worked out decades ago......
  22. College football and basketball are decades into it being about money. It has just rapidly increased since the 80's. Although the current era will eventually lead to the decline and inevitable collapse of the current model of revenue college athletics. Basketball will likely survive, as that model is on very solid ground. I would very much be surprised if college football hasn't experienced a MASSIVE decline inside 30 years.
  23. Bowls have been irrelevant for almost 100% of their existence. The playoffs didn't change this at all.
