Yes but Johnson listened to almost everyone this round. Lol. Again, I think the odds of Johnson to LV are probably in the order of 1-2% likelihood.
-
Once again, fug Pill Payton and fug the Broncos.
-
I don't really see why that would matter for them. They have a QB they like and they would be drafting one of the best two non-QB's at 4. That's one of the least impactful moving from 1 to 4 scenarios I can imagine in recent memory.
-
New England is #4. Those guys will be gone by 4.
-
That clip basically states it was Tom Brady full court press to even accept the interview. That isn't a glowing review of the job.
-
Goff was not remotely washed up. He was just a guy that couldn't get over the hump. Also, that is a terrible comp. Goff was a 26 year old that got traded for Matt Stafford(was an elite QB). Cousins will be 37 years old on opening day of 2025 and has looked like he is one the decline. At the bare minimum, he has very limited useful life left as an NFL starter. That is a terrible option for a young HC.
-
I don't believe in this Shedeur/Deion attached at the hip nonsense. It has always been nonsense. Cousins?? I mean....is that something that would attract an offensive minded coach? A very clearly washed up QB?
-
And this is why I think Johnson will not have interest in LV. The lack of QB makes any offensive genius struggle. Ask Daboll. I still believe this is Chicago or staying in Detroit for Johnson.
-
Oh they would definitely be interested in Sanders(and reportedly are). Deion has nothing to do with it. What veteran? Russell Wilson maybe? I don't think there is much beyond him, if he is even available.
-
Ward and Sanders will be off the board by 6. The gulf between those two and the next group of QB's is pretty massive. Not sure I would want to be overdrafting a QB in this draft.
-
I am way higher on Williams than Minshew/O'Connell/Ridder. That's a 2nd stringer and two 3rd/PS players.
-
Now that was a ballsy playcall.
-
The Bears is the only job that would be attractive to me if I was Johnson. Way more talent than Las Vegas and they actually have a good young QB versus the Raiders who have the worst QB roster in the NFL.

You know, Curtis Samuel actually ended up having a fairly solid career.

I believe he may be watching the replay on NFL Network.

2024 NFL Draft Classes by PFR AV Rating
kungfoodude replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Top ratings by AV. -
Sorted by Total AV(Approximate Value) Sorted by AV/Player Avg.
-
PFR has the AV ratings out for all the rookies. Here is how our guys fared: Xavier Legette(drafted 32): T33rd - 5 AV Jonathan Brooks(drafted 46): T180th - 0 AV Trevin Wallace(drafted 72): T64th - 3 AV Ja'Tavion Sanders(drafted 101): T64th - 3 AV Chau Smith-Wade(drafted 157): T80th - 2 AV Jaden Crumedy(drafted 200): T180th - 0 AV Michael Barrett(drafted 240): T226th - No Score
-
Well most teams are not eager to let young edge talent go. It's tough to find them that aren't basically busts or underperforming players. Even those guys usually get moved via trade rather than in free agency. If we don't get help in the draft, we aren't likely to be able to make meaningful upgrades in free agency outside maybe some improvements over our terrible depth.
-
XL is a C, Brooks is an F, Wallace is a B-, Sanders is a B+, Smith-Wade is an A-, Crumdey is a B- Sadly it will be XL, Brooks and Wallace that determine future success for this draft class. Even if Sanders is a stud, if those other guys max out at rotational player or worse, it is another terrible Panthers draft. I was very low on the draft coming into the season so it actually was a little better than expected.

Take LSU WR Kyren Lacy off your big board
kungfoodude replied to mccjeff's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah but we will pick the one bust
