The only valid argument at the time(and it was) was having a fully guaranteed contract like that for a guy that had a sustained run of being injury prone. In the end it was just poor timing fod being injured in relation to the contract coming up. Which, it is kind of funny in hindsight because another mega-bucks QB signed around the same time, Joe Burrow, isn’t getting heat but he is CONSTANTLY injured and has missed a TON of time.

I don’t love Williams and Maye. Now, are they the most physically gifted guys in the draft, yes. But they are also far from polished products. Still hard to be sure how that goes.

I mean, it really doesn’t matter. He gets hos money from this year anyway and he can't do anymore damage. IDC when they do it, just fuging do it before the offseason. But, it ain't happening.

Williams, Maye and Daniels are locks in the first. That second group is deeper and I think at least 1-2 will end up better than Williams and Maye.
