  1. I have never understood the hate for DJ. That dude has been fantastic for us.
  2. Yeah, I don't understand the need for revisionist history or denial. I have been there for the whole ride, the good, the bad and the ugly. As a Panthers fan, I will remain skeptical because of who we have been. But, it's easy to be hopeful about the core we are building on the team. Perhaps this is indeed the regime to bring us to consistent success. Either way, I think all of the Panther OG's feel the same way. Just waiting and watching for that time to come.
  3. Indeed, our lows have been as low as anyone's but they are luckily as rare as our Super Bowl appearances. The lucky thing is actually that our youth as a franchise means our climb out of the cellar isn't that far. Look at the history of the New Orleans Saints and their place on the all time lists for a good reference for how you can dig a whole that takes forever to to recover from.
  4. It was me. We have had 7 total winning seasons in 27 seasons. Pretty sure no one would consider that successful. Doesn't mean we haven't had successes but they are few and far between. Frankly, we are far closer to the bottom of the NFL in our existence than the top. I always reiterate that when our fans get a little uppity about our place or why we don't get the benefit of the doubt nationally(although being a small market team has a lot to do with that, as well). We are who we are. The challenge is to be better.
  5. The question about Darnold has always been his mental abilities. Which, he probably should have never been drafted where he was considering his overall derth of actual experience playing QB at any level. Those reps matter a LOT for developing a player. Right now the bulk of the reps in his entire quarterback career were with the Jets. Compare that to someone like Trevor Lawrence, who basically grew up playing football and quarterback. That is tens of thousands of reps and hours that he is already ahead of a guy like Darnold in his development. Doesn't mean he can't bridge that gap but everyone seemed to have looked past how little experience he actually had coming into the NFL.
  6. I can't help you are a hypersensitive and emotional child. Sorry about you being immune to humor. I feel sorry for you.
  7. Not my fault you can't read or comprehend. Try sounding out those team videos better next time.
  8. Not super surprising the joke went over your head.
  9. I am genuinely perplexed by fans that get huffy and butthurt when I say we are a bad franchise historically. We do all of the bad franchise things. Remove the two Super Bowl appearances appearances and our accomplishments get really thin, really quickly. I think original Panthers fans actually begrudgingly know this, versus a lot of our Cam era fans that just jumped on later.
  10. He is probably our best playmaker we have had in the secondary in a while. If he was Troy Pride's size we probably don't draft Horn.
  11. In the CB's versus WR's battles, do you feel like we are as good of a unit as last year in the WR ranks? Who is standing out the most at CB and WR? Doesn't necessarily have to be the new players, just who are the stand out guys overall.
  12. I don't think we are reinventing the wheel. You have to keep in mind most of these guys haven't been around the NFL much.
  13. And his stats say that he doesn't really make good decisions from a clean pocket. The best way to attempt to fix that is rep after rep in that situation. He needs to be forced to go through progressions over and over and over. That way we can hopefully coach him on the right and wrong decisions he is making. As much hate as we piled on Teddy, he was very capable of finding guys open quickly. It's just that it typically was someone within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.
  14. Yeah, people too easily forget that Darnold has never been healthy enough for a full slate of games either. The fate of that OL shuffling is going to impact how much we see Darnold, even outside his play.
  15. Hard no on that. Taking dumb penalties is not smart. Especially when you get a rep as a dirty player.
  16. Male cheerleader getting R. Kelly'ed?
  17. 100% against male cheerleaders unless they all wear the same uniforms. That's equality. Plus.....
  18. If that doesn't get your wiener hard, call the goddamn doc and get some Cialis.
  19. I am gonna be straight honest, it kind of seems like the staff/FO has no idea what they wanted from Christensen when they drafted him. That's kind of concerning for a third round draft pick. Hopefully this is all unwarranted worrying but I am not exactly out at ease by every few weeks the word from the team being that Brady is a different position(LT, OG, RT). Unless this is some long con that always had us letting Moton go and Brady was going to be our RT no matter what. If so.....bravo. Well played.
  20. Yeah. Some of this stuff I think we are just gonna have to see during the live fire. As inexperienced as our coaches are and our players are, that's really the only way we are going to know and they are going to learn.
  21. I would be stunned if we sign another QB around cut time(barring injury to any of our current ones). That doesn't really make much of an impact for a potential #2 or #3 QB. I think the plan is Darnold or bust. If he sucks or gets injured, we lose games with PJ and Grier and then maybe we get a better shot at our next QB or some other elite prospect. There is no real good reason to go dumpster diving at QB during the post camp cuts(barring injury to our current ones). You aren't likely to get a guy substantially better and you are also getting getting a guy that has no time in your system.
