  1. I think the multiple staffs doing so says he is a RT and not a LT.
  2. Yeah, that works in college....not the NFL. I hope they are at least aware enough eventually to realize that.
  3. I don't get it either. If we neglect it this draft, I just will not understand it. The FA moves were so bad on the OL too. We are on a whole new set of owner/GM/coach and getting the same results. I don't know how to explain it. Maybe they surprise us and go OL heavy the rest of the draft. I hope so.
  4. Well we haven't exactly made good FA OL moves either. I think that makes me suspicious much more than the drafting.
  5. You and me both. Slater will, at worst, be a very high level IOL, IMO. If we don't bolster this OL in the rest of the draft, I don't see much hope for Darnold.
  6. BPA OL is what I would do in the 2nd and 3rd. I want at least 3 OL out of this draft.
  7. Very few things that the bulk of the fanbase have bitched about have been wrong, in fairness. The one thing that is obvious is that when the Panthers go dumb, they go REAL dumb.
  8. Yeah, I was firmly against the pick(mainly due to passing on others) but I don't dislike Horn as a prospect. I do think the bust risk is a little high but I am not gonna judge him too harshly until about year 3. If he hasn't started to shine by then, I will have some harsh criticisms.
  9. If you surf back to the decision to get rid of Norman and Bradberry, you will see that our fans do care quite a bit about CB's.
  10. I also just generally don't have high expectations for rookie CB's. Not many of these guys start out as elite NFL CB's. There is usually a little bit of a learning curve.
  11. Oh I agree. If my suspicion is correct, we are going to see a lot of losing.
  12. Douglas actually played well. So did Elder, actually. Even Jackson played well when he was somewhat healthy. The only guy that was consistently bad was the rookie.
  13. The FA OL signings also left a lot to be desired. I just get the feeling their mentality about OL is that you can throw together a unit from JAGS and make do. We are in year two of doing exactly that. But....still lots of draft left to prove me wrong.
  14. I am not prepared to say that he is better than what we had last year. I definitely do not like the pick but it isn't wise to judge CB's harshly on year one of their career. If he is shaky in 2021, that doesn't mean he is a bust.
  15. It will be a mistake to not end up with 2-3 OL in this draft. I don't expect us to end up with 2-3 OL from this draft. I am honestly getting the feeling that this staff/FO may have a lower priority on OL than the previous coaching staff/GM. I sincerely hope I am proven wrong over the next two days.
  16. There are some good IOL prospects available. I don't expect us to go OL in the 2nd, however.
  17. I don't think there are many elite LT's waiting. But I am okay with a LT that ends up being a very good OG. Hell, I'm happy with an NFL caliber OL at this point.
  18. I don't know that I can blame the urgency on Tepper. You definitely get mixed signals. I honestly think Rhule has more of a "win now" mentality than maybe Tepper does.
  19. I think it was the wrong decision to take Horns over Fields(or Slater). Very glad Tepper didn't meddle. VERY glad.
  20. TBH, he would probably have to have a monster year to get national stage love. Small market team that isn't likely to be a playoff contender makes the spotlight smaller. Once he establishes himself as a consistent elite player, I think he finally gets that kind of love.
