  1. For WR's, we literally need playmakers. Guys that can get open and make plays in space. If you suck at any of that, you aren't gonna be any better than TMJ or Mingo.
  2. He was very bad at the Senior Bowl, though. He seems like a Rhule guy. High potential, crazy low floor.
  3. You mean as opposed to looking at their RAS and combine results and determining by that?
  4. They will be because we owe them 100% of their rookie deals, here or not
  5. Bozeman is not the answer. We need to improve that position very badly.
  6. I think a Panthers Brock Purdy in 2023 would have been pretty bad. I do think a lot of his success is that system. After all, Jimmy G looked good in that system too.
  7. He really does suck. But, he was just one of those guys in a weak QB class that got heat with little background. Not a super rare story.
  8. Purdy also wouldn't be starting if another elite game manager didn't repeatedly whiff on TD passes in the NFC Championship game. That is where having one of those guys hurts, when you need elite plays at critical times.
  9. This will be a major issue very soon. Purdy is going to have a large price tag for basically an elite game manager. This will basically be the end of the 49ers run, IMO.
  10. Cam drug WR's 1000x times worse to a one loss regular season and SB appearance. Rodgers if anything is the most overrated QB of his generation based on the playoffs.
  11. Hard to say, what we do know is doing what he did was not the answer. It's not generally a winning strategy in modern NFL football to have to hope your RB can win you a game. They need an elite guy if they want to beat other elite guys.
  12. I rather doubt 30 carries moves the needle much. He ended the game with 22 carries for 80 yds. Also, don't forget that Shanahan was the playcaller during the 28-3 meltdown. So that choker label extends well beyond the 49ers.
  13. Yeah, I think ultimately it boils down to having a truly elite player at the most important position on the football field vs. having potentially an elite game manager in Brock Purdy. That gap is difficult to overcome. It will be a very difficult spot for the 49ers to be in because Purdy is eventually going to command near elite or elite money and then you likely move significantly further from being able to contend.
  14. Which of these statements is the MOST true: 1. Kyle Shanahan is a choker. 2. The 49ers lack an elite QB. 3. Wrong place, wrong time. Mahomes is possibly the GOAT(TBD, also he lost to Brady). Or what are the other obvious problems? Objectively, they are/were insanely more talent stacked than KC this year.
  15. Goddamn, I miss Moose and Smitty. Not sure we will ever have another WR duo that is able to rival them. Even though DJ Moore is very good, he still wasn’t/isn't as good as either of those guys.
  16. Well, those are also once every 10-15 years or longer. The truth is you do need another elite QB if you want sustained success.
  17. I have stated and believe we will not see a winning record this decade. It will take acceptance of our situation and to finally start evaluating talent properly in the draft to dig out of this hole. There is really no other way for us to ascend the ladder than that. Our owner is pure poison so attracting top coaches or talent is going to become more and more difficult.
  18. We are 0-2 in Super Bowls as a franchise. San Fran is 0-3 in them since we came into the league. Good. Misery loves divisional company. Also, never forget that Kyle was Mr. 28-3
  19. And fug the 49ers way more. I will never understand these buffoons that root for them because of him. Shows how these people forget our old divisional rival. Or are too young to remember that.
  20. IDK. We will never know that. I just know this is like last season. He was hot and then was out with injury ans came back with zero confidence.
  21. TBH, this is like last season. Post injury he was dogshit.
  22. Agreed but he was not inaccurate in anything he said.
  23. It's just floundering around to try and keep a crumbling infrastructure in place. The truth is that their business model is broken and they just haven't accepted it yet.
