  1. I won't dispute that he played well in that game but he is genuinely a bust. I am not really making an argument about Wilks or the D overall, I am just saying he sucks.
  2. It's not an argument. It's a fact. He is a bust. This has nothing to do with the SF defense(which was once again elite). Chase Young just sucks.
  3. He was a downgrade from Saleh and Ryans but it was a small step. IMO, he is the scapegoat for Shanahan's failures.
  4. Preaching to the choir, brother. That poo is so disgusting. You can't have any sort of reasonable discussion without it basically being a live troll battle. I hate it.
  5. It happened long before social media. Look at the evolution of Fox News when they basically turned their entire network into "Crossfire" from CNN. Conflict sells more than sex.
  6. One underappreciated takeaway from the KC situation should be how KC had an elite game manager in Alex Smith but still took a gamble on greatness. TBH, we should be looking at this closely as a franchise as Bryce tracks more closely as a game manager than anything. Never pass on potential greatness, even if the status quo is pretty good. Always strive to be great. Honestly, that is the same thing I would do if I was the 49ers. To an extent they did when they upgraded from Lance to Purdy.
  7. I he was definitely a step down from Saleh/Ryans but it was a baby step. The hand wringing from their fans during the season was a little absurd. IMO, this was an incredibly unfair scapegoating for what are ultimately Shanahan's issues. I would not be at all surprised to see Shanahan fired within 2 seasons.
  8. I think that was always the case. Remember the clip of Cam and Luke on the phone with Norman before they played the Redskins? You could tell there they had a genuine friendship.
  9. I didn't want him because I thought he ran a gimmick offense and I HATED that Allbarn team that year(should have had like 5 losses but they kept winning). I believe my quote was, "Drafting Cam Newton will be the biggest mistake in franchise history." That crow turned out to be very delicious.
  10. How did you not know this? It was a story early in the season. He does not fit the system at all.
  11. Yeah, that is about what those sources are worth. That is easily verifiable information and they are not correct at all.
  12. Plus Shannon and Cam might be too similar in delivery. They usually like two people of different styles on those idiotic horseshit shows.
  13. That statement wouldn't really apply to either of these teams. Take a look at their total appearances since 2013.
  14. Well, I used to have a saying about the NBA draft process(in the 90's-eaely 2000's). At year one everyone sees potential and they ignore the flaws. The longer you stick around they see more flaws than potential.
  15. That was leaky by Koochie. Not that a mistake wasn't made before then but ultimately he needs to stone the firat attempt, at least
  16. The truth is, KC was a defensively led team this season. It was what allowed Mahomes to be throwing to subpar WR's all year and still winning.
  17. If you gauge things by our relative success, we'd love to have Greg Schiano. This thread has absolutely nothing to do with Panthers football.
  18. Yeah, I think people are gonna be sorely disappointed in the kinds of players looking to join us in free agency. Not saying they will all be like that but there aren't gonna be guys kicking the door in to get here.
  19. Well, you have to consider that we did actually TRY with Icky, although that appears to be a pretty suspect decision, at the very best. We really never have tried with Kalil.
  20. Watson just wasn't viewed as an elite guy. He got the "successful system college guy" rap.
  21. Well the difference is that this just happened to them in 2020. That doesn’t make this an outlier.
  22. He is overrated in the sense of winning. His talent isn’t questionable but he is also 11-10 in his career in the playoffs. For reference, a much less talented Eli Manning was 8-4 in the playoffs. Heck, Cam was 3-4. That's the point. He had an embarrasment of talent over his career in GB yet delivered one title. I don't see how he is in the same class as a winner as the guys he is compared to.
