  1. I think that message has been pretty clear from early on in his tenure.
  2. I'd be surprised if the rumor wasn't coming from the Texans.
  3. Slow your roll a little. Remember these are some young, young, young, young guys out there. It's gonna take some polish for them to be that kind of defense, even if they did have Luke.
  4. I think it would have to be more than a few, unfortunately. The bones are there, but there might be leaks in the roof and the foundation is cracked to hell. I'll be glad to be proven wrong but we need the OL and QB situation to really turn out well for us to see anything close to top 5.
  5. He actually made a big improvement from year one of place kicking to year two. 81% FG's, 100% on XP's. I think Minnesota decided to move on because they had lost their punter and had another really good kicker on the roster(was a Groza award semi-finalist in his first season starting).
  6. It's a long snapper, man. Long snappers don't put points on the board directly. If Fletcher becomes a 15+ year career long snapper.....we can find another one of those in the next couple of years in the UDFA pool.
  7. Group Two: Luke and Ryan Kalil Any combination of those four guys immediately make our team dramatically better.
  8. Easiest answer ever. Jordan Gross and Cam Newton. Those guys probably make this offense top 5 in the NFL.
  9. We won't know if we fuged up for a few years, most likely. If the Bears are smart, they will let Fields ride the pine and let Dalton take all the shots while Nagy rides him into unemployment. Scott is just doing the "pretending to not have an opinion but clearly having an opinion" thing. It's fine. He's been staunchly anti-Watson after the allegations started to come to light. I get it.
  10. I believe he has only had 1 or 2 bad snaps in his career. IIRC his last one was almost a decade ago.
  11. Well, he's never missed a FG in an NFL regular season game.
  12. I think the first scenario is rather unlikely but we will see. I am not sure about the draft option. They have had two opportunities to draft a QB and opted for a veteran. It will be interesting to see what we decide to do.
  13. I think later is probably 2022 and that is assuming Watson's legal troubles are resolved by then. Unless something really dramatic happens with his legal cases(like they all disappear suddenly), he's gonna be on the shelf for a while.
  14. I don't think people realize that the long snapper position basically got a reprieve because of progressive rule changes. If you have a good long snapper, there is no reason to get another long snapper unless your guy gets injured or retires. Turns out....we actually have one of the best long snappers in the NFL. Yet we want to jettison him for a guy that keeps making bad snaps in camp and preseason games.
  15. Trial by public opinion has always been a thing. Same with guilty until proven innocent. It's been the case for eons. We don't know the facts, we just know the stories. Trials rarely expose all the facts, just more stories. I don't make a judgement in any way. My initial inclination was to think it was BS but as more and more allegations came out, there was enough smoke to indicate some fire. Seems like the dude has a fetish he is pretty serious about and enough money and power to do it as much as he wants. Guess we will see how it all turns out, facts or not.
  16. We will never know the truth. I suspect of all the people that came forward with stories, there were probably double that amount that either were all in, shut him down immediately or somewhere in between and didn't come forward. It's clearly his fetish and something he actively pursues. Whether he is a simple creep or a predator is the real question. The public will never know the full story but I am pretty sure the NFL will dig as deep as necessary when they opt to mete out their punishment.
  17. I'd love to get him but the path forward to actually seeing him play in the NFL again seems rather muddy. I am not sure any team in the NFL is gonna touch him until it becomes clear what the full story is regarding the allegations against him. The Texans can want to trade him as much as they want but they kind of missed that boat months ago when they wanted three first round draft picks. Bet they wish they had that to do over again.....
  18. We just gonna let the obvious GJBC or 4C alt go wild here? Seems like an obvious squash, mods.
