  1. This is 100% accurate. This is twice that a polished, used car salesman has rooked him. He loves some psuedo religious BS, I suppose.
  2. This was always false. He has never been a QB whisperer.
  3. The thing to watch is how they progress as their locker room leaders age out and the very, very young head coach attempts this reset. It's possible they can supercharge their rebuild and have it condensed to a season or two but it's also just as possible it goes the other way and they sink to Panthers level.
  4. Most of yardage against the Cardinals this season(328 yds) was in the 3rd/4th quarter when the Cards were melting down.
  5. You are asking for the 2015 Denver Broncos with the benefit of facing the 2015 Carolina Panthers coaching staff. 2015 Shell of Peyton Manning is the only QB in the Super Bowl era demonstrably worse than Bryce Young.
  6. I would say that's a very premature prediction. The only real competition we have for worst roster in the NFC South is New Orleans. Most of their best/core players are nearing retirement. Ages are at the start of next season. Kamara: 31 Hill: 36 Davis: 37 Jordan: 37 They aren't devoid of young talent but they are still in a very transitional phase. If Shough pans out, that will definitely help them a ton but let's not forget they were net sellers at the trade deadline. They are in a rebuilding phase, not a "division leading" phase.
  7. He is never going to be a QB that is super low in TO's because he lacks the abilities necessary to make a lot of throws. He shouldn't be a massive TO guy ever because he lacks the confidence to consistently challenge teams with tight window throws and downfield shots.
  8. He has 4 games this season of 200 or more yards passing. He has 6 games this season of 150 or less yards passing. I can check but I bet that may possibly lead the league.
  9. Bryce Young is never going to fix his mechanics. He does not have a strong enough arm to be an "arm thrower" so when his base is not set, he struggles mightily to make NFL throws. The biggest problem with this is that he isn't a pocket QB. It's partially because he can't get clean throwing lanes, he can't see over lineman and he also lacks the confidence in the pocket necessary to do so. So, he is a scrambling, arm throwing QB that doesn't have the arm required to make NFL throws. There is no potential path to success like this. None.
  10. TO's/GM 2025: 0.94 2024: 0.92 2023: 1.00 One of the most consistent aspects of his career is that he is roughly a 1 TO/GM QB. His Int% has gone up from 1.9% to 2.3% over his career. His actual only real points of improvement are Completion Percentage(career high) and Passing YPG(career high). His now new career high is 188.2/GM. L O L
  11. Stuff like this is letter of the law territory. Plus, if you give an inch, you would open the door to a wide range of interpretations of what consists of a "break" of employment. It's not something they should be generous with because the compensation is pretty generous. Two 3rd round picks is HUGE.
  12. I think they are saying the general feel is the expectation that his option will get picked up. That said, I don't think that is set in stone. It does indicate what some of us have felt for a lot of this season, that they are leaning towards him being their guy.
  13. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nfl-compensatory-picks-for-minority-coaches-and-executives-explained I think it really depends on when his contract technically expires. If you look at the language, my interpretation of "any break in employment" would include ANY length of time. So, if he is no longer under employment here, that constitutes a break in continued employment with us. It's actually a very interesting situation/question.
  14. We have ample options. All of free agency, some trade options and the entire draft. Make that two full cycles of that if we DON'T pick up the 5th year. If you are planning on moving on or even hedging your bet, that isn't a situation you pick up a 5th year option. The 5th year option is basically a cheap(usually) precursor to signing a guy that is gonna get a big contract. Well that is for sure not Bryce Young. His UFA value would probably be in the neighborhood of $3-10 mil on a one year deal.
  15. It's possible they do this as a hedge(pick up the 5th and sign/draft someone). I think that is highly unlikely. That would be a completely schizophrenic message.
  16. IMO, if we add no FA nor legit draft options(not a UDFA) to this QB room in the offseason, 100% of all information about Tepper, Morgan and Canales will be clear. That "braintrust" will have conclusively proven they have zero idea what the fug they are doing.
  17. Don't forget you aren't talking to a Panthers fan. He changes fanhood based on whatever the hot team is.
  18. Is that a fuging WNBA hockey jersey??? Why does such a thing even exist???
  19. Goff is more akin to Matt Ryan and/or Cousins. Stat stuffer without the ability to finish. Jake was generally in the 10-20th range most of his career. Middle of the packish. I think the general modern day comp would be a Trevor Lawrence. Rarely elite production, generally middling.
  20. The league??! Eh....I suppose they are in the argument. I wonder if Bowles is as much of a limiting factor as their constant staff turnover. Not that I think he is a great head coach by any means but it sure does seem like young OC's bolt in short order.
