My logic was hopefully a new HC would have a LOT quicker hook for Bryce. But, that is assuming they would even be allowed. I guess that's a call to the owner's box for permission.

I wouldn't deny it would be a bad look. But I do think he has conclusively shown he is a not a good head coach.

I had someone argue with me the other day that his career had been similar through three seasons of starting. I mean....define "similar." It definitely hasn't been statistically nor results.

On the season his stat line versus NO is: 8 completions on 12 targets, 157 yds, 3 TD's, 0 INT's, 2 Passes Deflected Half of his total TD's allowed has been to the Saints. The Saints have absolutely dominated him.

If people can't see how bad he is now, I am just not really sure what else it is going to take.

He is actually tied for the 2nd most targeted player on the Panthers this season at 58(or 4.5 Targets/GM). He is behind Mike Jackson's 82 targets(5.9/GM). They both do pretty well with QB Rating. Jackson allowing a 77.7 and Horn a 70.9. Hilariously, Rosebum is tied with 58 targets. Opposing teams know. Lol. Back to the cluster of missed tackles, there appears to be none. He has missed 2 tackles in a game twice this season and has recorded missed tackles in 9 of 13 games.

Yeah, I think people are missing on that part when they are saying "no big deal." Remember how often Donte Jackson got called out for this? Well....he has a lower missed tackle percentage over the past two seasons than Jaycee Horn does. Make no mistake, this is not good.

It's like poker, you can misplay a hand and win and you can play a hand perfectly and lose. Over the course of an entire tournament, the players who play better tend to do better. So, sometimes Bryce doesn't deserve all the credit for a win just like he sometimes doesn't deserve all the blame for a loss. Now what he DOES deserve a lot of blame for is his career 13-28 record. Turns out, he's very bad!

One of those situations can potentially be recovered from but your C allowing a guy free up the middle is the worst case scenario for an OL pass protection. There is a reason this gets discussed very frequently.

He's an NFL starting QB. Of course he gets a lot of blame. The NFL has bent over backwards over the past 20+ years to make it as QB friendly a league as possible so their star QB's can succeed. Over the course of Bryce Young's career he has largely been in the bottom 5 QB's in each respective season he has played. Cumulatively, he is arguably the worst QB during that stretch by winning percentage and statistics. So, yeah, he is going to get a lot of blame. The pieces around him keep getting better but he makes extremely marginal improvements, at best. That's really bad in an unbelievably QB friendly environment.

Rozebum, Scott and Wallace expected but Horn has quietly become a somewhat of a defensive liability. He had been in our top 4 in Missed Tackles for two straight seasons now. He has had more missed tackles this season than in his first three years in the NFL(22 Games Started).

Stepping into the pocket on the two screenshots you have of the Saints is gonna get Shough's head knocked off. Notice the C absolutely getting mauled right in front of Shough. Ikey is losing, but that guy already lost.

IMO, getting rid of Bryce will just reveal how bad Canales is. I would prefer getting rid of Canales so we can also get rid of Bryce. I view them as intrinsically linked at this point.

For Canales, what is the honest argument to keep him?

They are both horrible.

It's not as bad as the Trey Smith thing but it's not great.

I don't agree with the "earned the right to stay" part. I think DC is a bottom 5 head coach.

I mean, if we assume the basic same track of improvement it's probably going to take several years for him to climb into the top 15 at his position. And that's assuming the same rate of improvement.

If they lose the last three I will have hilariously nailed my 4-7 win preseason prediction in rather infuriating fashion.

I mean that dude is a nothing factor. Canales will never give up playcaling, IMO. Another on the laundry list of reasons to fire him. He is a bottom 10% tier offensive playcaller. If he wasn't interested in getting an actual offensive playcaller in here(spoiler alert, he won't be) all the more reason to move on.

We can all agree there is plenty of blame to go around for that BS loss(two losses, for that matter) but you can't win with a QB that basically only significantly factors into the game 2-4 times on average. I mean....this all has to end. We can't keep up this charade of "just wait it out!" He ain't gonna be fuging Baker Mayfield(what a joke). He ain't gonna be Geno Smith(who has 60% of a career to wait??). He ain't even gonna be Mr. Seeing Ghosts himself. He will be lucky to be Chad Pennington. It. Is. Over. The best these folks can do is just accept it.

I am down with that but his price tag is going to possibly be problematic for KC. Minshew is on a league minimum deal and they are projected to be $44 mil over the cap at the beginning of next offseason. A $4.2 mil backup might actually be a little pricey in their situation.

If we are planning on moving on, especially as a trade, it is literally only going to be this offseason. With that 5th year picked up, he will have zero interest or next to zero interest in the 2026 or 2027 trade market.
