  1. It's also waaaaay harder to accomplish because of technological advances. That was the benefit of being a late comer to the sport. A lot of overseas casinos have been steadilu developing technology to flag suspicious betting.
  2. We are new to this because we are new to widespread LEGAL gambling. Look at the history of gambling scandals in soccer, rugby, cricket, etc. It's always been around.
  3. Especially considering typically few of the top TE's in the league ARE 1st round picks. Kelce, Kittle, McBride, LaPorta, Mark Andrews, Jake Ferguson, Dallas Godert, Zach Ertz, etc, etc. Literally more than half the who's who of NFL TE's over the past decade are not former 1st round draft picks. As I said, of the top 10 rookie receivers from the 2025 draft class three of them are not 1st round TE's(Fanin Jr., Gadsden III, Mason Taylor).
  4. I will say a chunk of those don't have to do with trying to improve the team overall. While not a big fan of the Evans pick, he has largely been our best TE so far this season in limited action. BPA should always rule the day. Don't reach for need, draft the best players available with caveats added for schematic fit and literal ability to roster a player. But X being needed over Y should never come into the equation when Y is a far higher rated player on your board.
  5. Well the bar for Dalton looking better had been set pretty low by Bryce. My expectation is slightly more production and far quicker decision making with the ball. Less mobility but quicker and probably more accurate. So something like Bryce + 10-15%. I am not exactly expecting him to blow the doors off. Maybe just achieve slightly below average NFL QB play.
  6. These are all clear bust guys. They are more suited for teams with well established starters and good QB development. That isn't us. Also none of those guys are clearly better than Bryce and none of them are an actual upgrade over Dalton. I am fine with them as a 3rd string option. That's very reasonable. But it wouldn't fix any of the current QB issues. But, that being the case, is it better to dumpster dive or maybe take a shot in the draft on a guy? Not saying I prefer one or the other, that's all situation based.
  7. The NBA has previously had a mafia related gambling scandal with a ref. This one looks much worse.
  8. I think Dalton, if he plays, looks slightly better than Bryce. So, if the wheels don't fall off Bryce(or Andy) the remainder of the season, I suspect we are looking at the exact same QB room in 2026. I would be surprised if he either signed a younger guy or drafted a guy. Also, we should probably actually draft a guy.
  9. No, he isn't. Trevor was billed as generational. Like Luck and now Arch. Not living up to that billing is a different level of bust precisely because of that tag. Bryce is at an Akili Smith, Heath Shuler, Joey Harrington level of bust at the moment. Just a guy that should have never been there in the first place. Now, the trade price is an aggravating factor but even with that the "generational" tag trumps it. That's a tough one to not live up to. Luck came closest but injuries derailed him. Lawrence has literally just never looked like it at all.
  10. The problem for Jags fans is that he isn't that far ahead of Bryce. That is not what you want for your "generational QB." Trevor is currently on pace to be the biggest QB bust of the last 20 or so years, IMO. Not that he won't be in the league or anything but this was supposed to be a generational guy. He is barely league average. No matter, though. If the path keeps being forged, Arch Manning will be saying "hold my beer" in the near future.
  11. But don't worry, when we run it, it will be 60% with Chuba. #Winning
  12. Absolutely. They didn't have a full offseason with us and they are just simply not NFL roster caliber players. PS level, yes. I get being frustrated with Bryce. I am too. I get being upset with not having a better backup than Dalton. I generally disagree but I at least understand. But pining for XFL/UFL/CFL caliber guys....this is the poo I don't understand. Nor the pining for Fields or other various examples of CLEARLY non-NFL caliber QB's. Just because we are bad at QB doesn't mean we should literally start spamming every single available body at the position until we get a good game. I honestly believe that is how some of these people here would operate.
  13. Well they have faced Dalton a bunch before when he was with Cincy. He is 4-2 lifetime against them.
  14. The amount of QB's on that list that Huddlers wanted to attempt to obtain as a Bryce replacement is telling. I sometimes wonder if the only place more inept than the Panthers at evaluation of QB talent is the Carolina Huddle.
  15. It's a plague and it's predictable. STEFAN LAFORS GONNA BE THE REAL DEAL!!! WILL GRIER HAS A STRONGER ARM THAN CAM. GOAT, YOU WATCH!!!! KYLE ALLEN GONNA HAVE US UNDEFEATED!!!! MATT MOORE SHOULD BE OUR FRANCHISE QB!!!!
  16. Dude, this thread is filled with that crap. It's nuts. It's the same BS we get with the Hooker stuff. WeLl I wOuLd StArT hOoKeR oVeR bRyCe Or AnDy!!!!!! No. Just....no.
  17. The interest and discussion is fine, once this turns into "THIS IS THE NEXT FRANCHISE QB HERE TRUSTMEBRO!!!" is when they lose me. He isn't good. At all. He is an upgrade to our existing PS QB, at best. And, no, after 4-5 years as a starter here he isn't going to become Baker Mayfield in his mid-30's.
  18. Literally three of the top 10 overall receivers from this draft so far(guys I really liked pre-draft, BTW) are not 1st round TE's.
  19. In fairness, this is actually "Standard Huddling." This place always loves them some UDFA or PS guys. Never fails. Doesn't matter if less than 1% succeed, Huddle be like....
  20. I mean this is not only demonstrably false, it's laughable. Most of the top NFL TE's over the past decade were not 1st round draft picks.
  21. That's why you gotta be careful about those early takes. Pretty sure there are a lot of dusty ass Kelvin Benjamin jersey's out there.
  22. I don't think you forgo the opportunity to upgrade a position significantly because the team has other issues. That is gonna be the case for several more offseasons as we attempt to build. If you have the opportunity to get a game changing TE, you take them. Now, I do mean largely through the draft. I don't think we should be breaking the bank on a TE in free agency.
