That's what I mean. He is "B" tier in the backup QB's. Borderline #3 QB(which are C Tier and lower by my definition).

Yeah, Lock is a B tier backup guy. Nothing special about that move. Overall a step down from Dalton, IMO. Not that it is likely to matter. It is Bryce or Bust for the Tepper Panthers. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to pivot if Bryce flops in year two. I am guessing he might get the hook before the fans think. I think he might just be too confident to a fault. Hero ball caught up with him a few times last year. Those windows are all tighter and those pockets collapse more quickly at the next level. This will all seem pointless if he ends up being the talent they claim but he wouldn't be the first QB that had similar faults/tendencies that flopped because of it. It all just depends on how he adjusts.

Cap space and a draft pick. I'd rather have those if he is basically going to end up a healthy scratch for game after game.

I don't think they have much to risk in that regard. Fields seems so overwhelmingly like a bust. I honestly have no idea why they would even pretend to claim he might be the guy they stick with.

IDK. Maye played in an offense that isn't likely to help him transition quickly. Also, he basically fell apart in the latter half of both his seasons. That didn't inspire a lot of confidence for me. We will see. He is the most talented guy in the QB class but if it's my #1 overall pick....I'm honestly going Daniels. He seems to have more of an "it" factor. It's gonna be interesting. There are a few guys from outside that top three that could end up being the best, as well.

I will make a stand on this one, we will end up regretting this move. I do not see him fitting our style of play even remotely.
