Watching Jalen Hurts sort of hurts.....
kungfoodude replied to YourLastThought's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope we get this next hire right or it's gonna get worse before it gets better. The Browns were in a 20ish year streak before Mayfield or Watson, depending on how you define their QB success. That was all very poor ownership and management, which we could possibly have. My biggest fear is that we flub this coaching search and then it becomes painfully obvious that Tepper is one of the worst owners in the NFL. That is a nosedive that is very difficult to pull out of for an NFL franchise. -
New PFT article on what the Saints want for Payton
kungfoodude replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think we should give up two first round picks for him, that much I agree with. I hope he just holds out and doesn't go to Denver because I do believe he will be successful there and I don't want to see that. If he wants to bring his own GM, I doubt Houston will be the spot either. He would have the chance to take a QB in the top 2, however. -
I think it was easy for people to forget that Philly was by far the best team in the NFL for the bulk of the season. 2 of their 3 total losses were with the backup QB. They would be a 2 loss team without Hurts getting injured.
-
I don't think it really had a big impact. They were going to get smashed no matter what.
-
Man.....it is gonna hurt if Reddick keeps playing at a high level and Burns doesn't really start to peak.

Is this hacking lingo?
-
Hard maybe. I like his intangibles. Seems like a hard worker and a good leader.
-
He's no Brock Purdy or Sam Darnold but he's fine.
-
No he shouldn't have done better. Would prefer that he hadn't done as well as he did.
-
I don’t think it's a decline. It's just inherent human laziness. It's far easier to make people less complex when judging. It did serve a purpose during evolution.

I am rooting for the GIANTS tonight and you should too!

I don't care at all. I don't hate either of those teams so I don't care who wins. Just want to see a great game. -
If I had that confidence, sure. I don't. I think he can make that team immediately competitive. Not Super Bowl winning, perhaps but a winning team. I don't want to see that.
-
I care nothing about the competition in that division. The Broncos will forever hold the 2nd most hated team spot behind the Pats for me. Absolutely zero chance I want to see them succeed in my lifetime. Ever.
-
I don't know why anyone wants to see Peyton in Denver. I am very much enjoying them being a dumpster fire. Payton would dramatically improve them. I know we all hate the dude but he is a good NFL coach. Zero chance I want to see him in Denver.

Saints sending us Sean Payton be like..
kungfoodude replied to The Huddler's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not 100% correct. I believe that Tenacious D was able to come out ahead. -

Honestly, anyone that falls for @TheSpecialJuan's thread titles is mostly to blame. It's his shtick and everyone knows it. I personally think it's hilarious. -

Hard no to any non-Kathy Ireland's. -
Go on record now before the hire is made Re: Sean Payton
kungfoodude replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well he was a dude vilified by the fanbase for some good and some just general fan reasons. I can see why this would be extremely polarizing. -
Brady was 3rd in the NFL in DYAR, Rodgers was 16th. Brady was 8th in DVOA, Rodgers was 21st. Brady was 18th in QBR, Rodgers was 27th. Brady was 25th in Completion Percentage Above Expectation, Rodgers was 26th. Green Bay had 30 drops on the season. Tampa Bay had 29. I am basically unaware of any meaningful metric or efficiency rating that doesn't show Brady had a better year. If you can make a solid argument as to why you believe that, I am all ears but the eye test and the stats do basically align on Rodgers looking worse.
