  1. Because he is an average starting QB on the last year of a deal. He isn't going to elevate your franchise with his play very often.
  2. I could not possibly care less about these guys personal lives. The biggest thing I have cared about personally was Ron's battle with cancer and Cam's cigar bar(huge cigar fan).
  3. We also got rid of the core of the reasons the franchise had success. That's what I mean. If you purge to that level, you need to have a winning culture you inject. We did the exact opposite of that. But I think we fundamentally disagree on the "rebuild vs. retool." New England hasn't been rebuilding. They retool every offseason. That is what a competent organization does. We are as far from being competent as possible.
  4. That was why I was so skeptical it could ever work. TBH, it probably will lead to an almost decade long slump.
  5. These teams rarely intentionally tank. They tank because they have incompetent leadership. We are an example of a successful tank(2010) but that is far from the norm. Also, we didn't gut the roster like we did after 2019. That is something that you rarely see in the NFL.
  6. Raiders, Browns, Bengals. They stayed bad for years. The history of NFL rebuilds is not kind. But, continue to think it is, David.
  7. Yeah, I mean we are saying the same thing
  8. Scorched earth is rarely successful in the NFL.
  9. I am just teasing him because he was so ardently anti-Herbert. I was a huge Herbert fan. I was also not a big Burrow fan. I saw crazy intangibles but not a lot of elite traits.
  10. Highly unrealistic but that would be amazing.
  11. This is where he needs to develop. He knows plays and play design but he has to be able to use them in a coherent way during a game.
  12. Yeah but Tyler is sub 300. That is actually a little bit of a concern.
  13. It was scorched earth. I have never seen a roster deconstructed like that.
  14. I also want to be clear that I was dead set against the idea of a massive rebuild in 2020. Partly because of what came to pass, it is usually hard to pull up from that nosedive because you don't have good people making the decision to tear everything down to the foundation. That is NEVER a wise choice in the NFL.
  15. BuT wE hAvE tHe NuMbEr TwO dEfEnSe!!! Meanwhile.........27th in TO's Forced, 21st in Points Against......
  16. Tepper warned us all the rebuild would be long. He was telegraphing the fact that he didn't have a fuging clue.
  17. Every year we keep Rhule will put us in the hole further. I suspect after this offseason it will be much, much worse. Get ready for Rebuild 2.0, starting in 2023.
  18. Well, the Bills got Allen at 7. There are quite a few starters in the NFL that weren't top 10 picks. But, it also takes a competent coaching staff and competent player evaluation, so I guess we can go ahead and write that off.
  19. I was told it was a soft defense and Sam Darnold.
