Giving an elite QB will haunt then but they did dig that hole for a while. Wilson covered up years of poor drafting and bad personnel choices. If they keep drafting the way they have been, the picks they got aren't going to accomplish much.

He's just stupid. The one thing you learn arguing with dumb people is you never chance their POV, they just bring you to their level.

Well we also don't have those picks to even offer. No 2nd this year. Our picks should have more value, though. They will be top 5-10 for the foreseeable future. I also highly doubt Wilson would waive a no trade clause to come here. Similar to Watson, actually. The truth is, none of the elite QB's in the NFL want anything to do with us in our current state.

So we are/were pursuing Watson but not Wilson??? I hope it has to do with him not wanting to be traded here....otherwise we are pretty dumb.

Ugh. I hate the Broncos and now they get an elite QB for a pretty reasonable price. Jesus. We are just gonna suck for a long time. Like the Seahawks now.

I don't love taking him at 6 but I don't hate it. I do think Penning will be successful somewhere on the OL. Can't say the same for Brown or Christensen.

Yeah, hence why we suck so badly. Worry about churning the bottom of the roster when it doesn't basically look the same as the top of the roster.

I don't want to trade up. We don't have the luxury of spending those resources. If we can get a top 3 OT at 6, just do that. If not, explore trade down options. After all, we should be able to get a starting OL in the first round. If a starting quality tackle is still available, don't trade down so far you miss on that.

How is Faalele a winner because of his measurements? Did that guy not watch the Combine practices where he struggled a LOT with speed rushers?

I am not worried about his arm length. more worried about him just being on the smaller side in general. I feel like his technique will make that irrelevant. Would I take him in the top 6? No. Would I take him in the top 15? Yes. -

Allen is one of the rare guys that actually has had his completion percentage improve in the NFL. Typically those low college completion percentage dudes don't get better in the NFL. Willis wasn't a very accurate passer in college either but much better than Allen.

I don't think starting Brady or Brown is gonna result in much OL improvement. Those guys are depth. Get better starters and let them be solid backups.

Take a LT at 6, make smart offseason signings, and don't flatten the salary cap and don't trade any picks or players away that are worthwhile. So the next coach has a better chance to succeed.

I do find it odd that only that one source is reporting that. I am not saying it didn't happen that way but that wasn't the narrative at the time. It was kept very quiet if it is the case.
