  1. I think bringing him back is not in a starting role. I don't think he is capable of that anymore. He has indicated he is fine being a backup, for that matter.
  2. I mean....I am not sold, so I don't know why he would be. But, it would be great for the team to have him back.
  3. Not too fine a point on it but you don't pay gadget players $10-15/mil a year. He's getting paid like a bell cow RB so he needs to play. If he can't stay healthy, then it is just time to move on. That said, we also don't need to be using him at Ron Rivera rates.
  4. Doing this basically takes away his best weapon, which is his running ability. I know because he catches a lot of passes and makes LB's look stupid that people think he is a secret elite WR, well he isn't. He's an elite RB with elite RUNNING BACK catching ability. I really am consistently amazed that people don't see that the thing that makes CMC an elite player is in fact his running ability.
  5. Do whatever mental gymnastics it takes to make you comfortable.
  6. More importantly, will Meyer even be able to get a college job after ge got clowned so badly in the NFL media?
  7. 3rd rounder at best. Everyone knows he is gonna get cut.
  8. I don't care about learning gap. Also, that didn't keep Slater from being an All Pro. Growing pains are fine when you aren't protecting a QB that matters and on a team destined for failure.
  9. It's very sad to see him so physically diminished when we saw him be that "Superman." But he played in a way that doesn't leave a lot left in the tank and it took a toll on his body, no matter how willing his mind was. But, you know, it was a wild ride. He gave us the best season in our team history and left as hands down the greatest offensive weapon the franchise ever had.
  10. LT at 6 is the way to go, unless there is a run on OT's. Pass rushers would make me the least upset of the non-LT options. Agreed, there is no chance Bozeman isn't our center. Elflein is fuging trash.
  11. Guess we know what our first 4th round draft pick will be now.
  12. One of these top shelf OT's at 6 would make that OL transformation potentially quite extreme.
  13. I hope he is able to stick around(in the NFL) as a back up QB for a few years and maybe finally get a ring. It won't be here, very unfortunately but he deserves it. He deserves it for everything he gave and one of our stars deserves to finally get one.
  14. I won't get excited until we get our second H. Nakamura.
  15. Yeah, it also allows us to be wrong and it not hurt.
  16. Yeah and that is honestly where I am with it. I feel the same way with the draft, for that matter. Do nothing at QB, let Rhule take the shelling he deserves this season and start anew in 2023.
  17. Oh we aren't ANY different than any football forum in existence. All the same poo.
  18. I honestly think that people want CMC to be something he isn't, which I have always found really odd because he is actually quite elite at what he does. His downside is injuries, not skill level. He's a real, NFL RB, not a gadget or utility player or definitely not a WR. He really is an actual RB. Happens to be an elite RB, even.
  19. But will we hear things in public or will the things that are heard only be in your head?
  20. He haven't "done nothing" at QB, we've just accomplished nothing. There is a difference, albeit subtle.
  21. I am not upset about the one year deals. It's far better than our history of signing big, dumb contracts.
  22. The Huddle always gets too excited about offseason moves. We've hung more offseason banners than seasons we've existed.
