I mean....a 4th or less for Love isn't bad. I doubt he pans out but it's a way better and cheaper gamble than Darnold was.

What matters: a QB’s talent or their situation?

Yeah and Jordan owes his career success to Phil Jackson, right? -
Slow played? Lol....until the 3rd round? Listen....we aren't smokescreening anyone. We are about as transparent as possible.
-
Lol. We gonna take him in the 4th?

Not to mention, twice Belichick failed to recognize Brady's greatness. Once when Bledsoe was starting over him(remember he broke through because of injury not winning) and the second time when he tried to keep Jimmy G over Brady. -
Chris Simms top QB is Matt Corral and why you should listen

Insert any other QB in this draft class and the same can be said. They all have ample warts. -

He starts the whole segment out talking about how bad this draft class is and that the consensus isn't wrong about that. -

Nothing Bill Belichick did made Tom Brady who he is. That was all Tom Brady. That's why he kept winning and Bill has fallen off. -

Read my post again. Mariota was unlikely to ever be successful anywhere because he isn't a player that strives to succeed. He doesn't have what it takes. Hence why I say 70% player and 30% team. If you want to be great and put in the work to be great, your team isn't going to matter. Them sucking isn't going to matter. You will do what it takes to make yourself great on your own time. Training, working out, nutrition, film study, personal trainers, working with teammates on your own time, etc. That is what great players do. -

It is amazing how people choose to ignore player faults when players fail. That's how so many talked themselves into Sam Darnold when the truth was so blatantly obvious. -

I think the fans very much overestimate how much a team develops a player versus a player developing themselves. -

We have telegraphed our intentions about as poorly as any team I have ever seen under the Tepper ownership -

IMO, 70% player, 30% team. -

Someone posted his entire 1 hour video here. It's really good. He breaks down all his top 5. Also mentions that he really doesn't see any of them as 1st rounders. -
IMO, Pickett/Corrall are late 1sts, Willis is a 2nd and the others are 3rd or lower.
-
I am not sure that Detroit goes that way.
-
Maybe not that bad.

This has to be one of the most nonsensical takes in Huddle history.

The question is how desperate will teams be to get a QB and will that desperation lead them to taking a QB early? For our team, it appears the answer is yes. However not all NFL teams are as desperate and stupid as we are. Not to mention that guys like Mayfield and Jimmy G may make the market skew depending on where they go. Lamar was also viewed as kind of a one trick pony by a lot of NFL types. Willis isn't the athlete nor was he the QB Jackson was in college. I mean, hitch your bandwagon to whichever of these guys you want but I suspect it's gonna be a pretty sobering bunch to look at in 3-4 seasons. Outside of Pickett and Corrall, I am not sure I see a guy sticking around as even a potential starter at that point.
-
Planning based on outliers is what Marty Hurney and Matt Rhule try to do. It doesn't work because it's stupid. This site wasn't screaming Herbert was terrible. That was a few loud voices. There were plenty of us saying he was the best guy in that class.
-
Yeah, I think the difference is that Willis being at the top of the round may or may not happen. It's also possible he is a mid to late 1st rounder.
-
This is almost universally regarded by scouts, NFL teams, bobble heads, draf5 guys and ex-players as being a bad QB class. It isn't just missing a star, it's largely missing starting caliber NFL players.
-
Jackson's speed was undeniable. The speculation about other positions is not a reason to not test. If someone wants him to play WR or RB then he is looking at 4th round or later. That's not reality. I have always thought that was agent nonsense when that gets brought up for first or second round players. Either way, it was just weird more than anything. The reasons to be down on him largely have to do with his ability to play QB, not run.

Physically I generally agree although he was not a perfect prospect, even still. When you read more and more quotes from him, it just didn't really seem like he necessarily NEEDED football in his life. I remember one quote specifically that he mentioned that he didn't have to have football in his life(or something similar). Smart general mindset but in the NFL to succeed at the highest level, you largely need to be extremely motivated to be better and better at football. I might have been grasping at straws but he just had a few quotes that made me wonder about his will to be the best he can be.
