  1. I think it also may just be that they don't have many or any options at QB. Good free agents don't want to be here. It just kind of is what it is.
  2. If we draft a big time DE and sign Brown, I could warm up to that. If we draft some othet ignorant poo(especially QB) at 6, I am gonna be furious(not really, I sort of expect this).
  3. Yeah, Rhule may be a scummy used car salesman but nothing about him screams blatant racist. I think Sam just didn't throw him under the bus, so he doesn't have reason to be butthurt. Also, I think the Sam failure is even more of a hit to his ego so it's harder to throw in towel.
  4. Not really giving up, just angrily waiting it out.
  5. I think it probably does to some people. Racism is real and in plenty of places. It is hard to know what is in someones mind/heart.
  6. But what is the common thread there? Rhule picked all those fools. Hence why he should go. Remember, this man got a windfall if a contract and complete control of personnel. The buck stops with him. All failures are his.
  7. It is an assumption that he was humbled. I think TBD on that.
  8. I don't think it was racially motivated. I think they were very butthurt that Teddy spoke honestly about how they didn't prepare like he was used to for critical game situations. In fairness, most of the board(me included) jumped all over Teddy for that. In hindsight, he was 100% accurate. Look no further than the 2021 offseason TC reports where they talked about the emphasis on game situations in practice.
  9. I mean, it didn't get better under OC #2 last year. I don't know that Rhule is likely to ever be humbled. Reference his comments to the team about him being able to get a college job. I don't think to his core he believes he is doing anything wrong. I don't think you will see the moment Rivera had where he reached out to his mentors and asked what he was doing wrong. I don't know if he is going to be forced to listen to anyone. They all work for him, after all. We will see what happens but my hopes are pretty low while he is at the helm.
  10. Ah, the NFL is still great even without the Panthers. In some ways it is a lot easier to watch the NFL without the Panthers. Go to your local sports bar and watch all the games at once while taking in a few brews. It's still fun.
  11. Love his skill set but I saw him completely come unraveled against good competition way too often in college. Literally almost every P5 team he played it happened.
  12. I mean....did you believe he would keep him after the disaster of this past season? I know I didn't.
  13. I think he will just get to eat some crow for his man crush for a while. That's the problem with being TOO much of a college FB fan, you tend to look past the faults. If Liberty had fans, I am sure they would be just as ridiculous about Willis.
  14. Jimmy G's surgery actually had some surprising results. I believe @TheSpecialJuan will be particularly pleased with this addition.
  15. I would take any of these QB's with our non-1st round draft picks. At some point you have to upgrade over PJ Walker.
  16. Being a Panthers fan will do that to you.
  17. I want to believe that but we don't know that. This board jerked off all over having a genius like Brady on board. Even into the 2021 season. It's not like McAdoo was a guy that teams were pining after. He was basically just a consultant because of how poor his last stint was in the NFL. So, I am not gonna rejoice on this guy until it shows consistent and at least AVERAGE results on the field. I have EXTREMELY low expectations, so he shouldn't be able to perform worse than those.
  18. That is a tall order without a competent QB(much less HC). Sadly the better OL is not guaranteed yet. We hope that is the case. I will say there will be no excuse for the offense NOT looking better. None.
  19. I don't think you are understanding what we mean by leadership. Rhule is reportedly notorious for micromanaging, so changing some parts underneath him aren't likely to have a big impact. He is still the guy calling the shots on personnel and schemes. He still dictates that. That is what we mean by leadership. The guy who we literally signed a contract that said he is basically in charge of all of it. Until that changes, and we won't know that immediately, then why would it matter what random assortment of people are underneath him? How are those guys supposed to move the needle?
  20. I don't share that view largely due to the people in charge(Tepper/Rhule) being so obviously out of their depth. Then you consider how poorly the last two offseasons have gone(and sadly looking like a third is likely), I am not buying the "improvements." I definitely hope I am wrong about the latter part because if I am not, this current rebuild is gonna look like child's play.
  21. I mean, we are gonna lose anyway so seeing them strike out on a third straight QB would be funny in a morbid sort of way.
  22. Well we largely haven't, given that we are 27-31 in games he plays in his career. That's basically the issue with RB's in general in the modern era of the NFL. They can help you win but they very rarely win on their own.
