  1. Pretty much this. Has to be cheap and a short term deal. He is likely pushing towards the back end of his career.
  2. The level of butthurt over us not wanting their choker QB is hilarious.
  3. High on copium. Cousins has pocketed $105 mil since he signed with the Vikings and is due another $80.2 mil for 2022/2023. The Vikings have been to the playoffs one time in that period. Stats don't mean poo when you suck. Cousins doesn't win.
  4. I think Corral's learning curve is going to be a little steep coming from the type of offense that he has been playing in. But the same was said of Mahomes and Herbert. If we can develop Corral into a quality backup QB, it was a win as a pick. Anything more than that is icing.
  5. Exactly. Hence why guys like Baker Mayfield don't always pan out. It's between the ears that matters more than any other individual trait.
  6. 4-8 wins post Mayfield, IMO. I'd put 6 wins as my personal guess.
  7. In a true competition that is the way it should be handicapped.
  8. He also just may micromanage in other ways. We will really never know until we start hearing people talk about it. That isn't likely to start happening until after he gets fired. Yeah, it is very hard to determine what kind of head coach Rhule is, other than an extremely ineffective one.
  9. Yeah but if he is obviously better than it should show immediately. What is the risk of a competition?
  10. I want a competition between Baker and Corral. I would rather not see Darnold included at all, for fear that Matt Rhule might double down on doing something stupid.
  11. The fact you think I am drinking any sort of Kool Aid shows how emotionally invested in this strange rant you are making. Feel free to check any and all Baker Mayfield statements from about February onward. They don't match anything close to the scenario you are inventing in your head. Furthermore, the incredibly strange hissy fit about the "disrespect" for a 3rd round QB that was literally the #2 QB on the roster through minicamp is profoundly odd. You do realize that the overwhelming majority of the board wanted to see Corral start over Darnold, right? I mean...there were multiple threads about this.
  12. I don't think he did meddle with the offense at all. I think he handed it all over to his guys and let them work. Which, that also flies in the face of the "micromanagement" criticism that often gets thrown around. So perhaps that isn't true either. Either way, it's been fuging weird to see it all unfold.
  13. Well Rhule has no background in being an OC or playcaller, IIRC. I think he generally has to be pretty hands off for that reason. The issue is the obvious schism between what he publicly says and the gameplans we have had. That even extended to his personal buddy after Brady got canned. Furthermore, McAdoo didn't run a rush heavy offense in NY. So is he going to adjust to that or is Rhule gonna adjust to what McAdoo wants to do? It will be one of the more interesting Panther storylines to watch unfold in 2022, that's for certain.
  14. Dude, you are literally having a meltdown. Step away from the keyboard for a few hours. Go outside and enjoy the weather or something.
  15. You are literally doubling down on not reading anything I am posting.
  16. Yeah, it's extremely strange to see Rhule at pressers talking about being a run heavy attack and then make the hires he does. I haven't figured that out yet. He's either deflecting or he just hands over the keys to the OC.
  17. You literally didn't read my post. It's PAINFULLY obvious by your response. That's the problem. You aren't reading anything anyone is saying in this thread, you are just lashing out emotionally and repeating the same few lines over and over. I have no idea what got you into this headspace on the Corral subject but it's fuging weird.
  18. I mean....that's the sad truth. He would have to be REALLY bad to be worse than what we have had under Rhule. TBH, if it is as bad or worse than 2020 and 2021, I'm at the point where that's gotta be Rhule. Same way I will feel if we make another dipshit HC hire after Matt Rhule gets canned. I will blame everything on Tepper. The more things stayed fuged up, the more the people in charge are to blame.
  19. Dude, I am not sure what you got into or if there is some specific Corral fan club you joined but that is the ravings of a lunatic. Baker Mayfield DOES have one of the best arms in the NFL. That was his reputation coming in and it's a big reason why he went #1 overall. Disputing that only really serves to make you look foolish. All that arm talent hasn't made Baker Mayfield an elite QB because that's not how the NFL works. It takes way more than just natural talent to be successful in the NFL. Right now, he hasn't shown he is an elite QB and it's very debatable if he is a starting QB in the NFL. This is his shot to prove he deserves more shots at even just being considered a starting caliber NFL QB. Matt Corral is a decent mid-to late round talent. That's literally it. He doesn't have any specific elite attribute other than his quick release. He's not an elite athlete, he doesn't have an elite arm, he hasn't shown to be elite in terms of processing, etc, etc. That also doesn't mean he can't be an elite QB or even just a starting QB in the NFL. That's not how this works. It's up to him to figure out how to put everything together and become an elite player, regardless of talent level. But to claim he is some HOF caliber QB in the wings is INSANE. You are setting yourself up to look like a complete buffoon on a relatively long shot gamble. It's a free country, so good luck with that but I don't think this is gonna end well for you in the long run.
  20. If you are good at your job, you will get second, third, fourth, fifth, etc. He wasn't hired after interviewing repeatedly. That's not great. It may not mean he sucks but he at least wasn't a desirable employee in the NFL.
  21. You are wasting your breath. This is literally the guy that claims the #1 attribute for any QB is how tall they are. Reference his insane claims every draft for whatever 7th round QB is 6-5+.
  22. I mean....he is 27. I definitely can't buy into that argument. This is just a copy and paste of the Darnold support. It's just as bad of a defense for a player now as it was then. You can either play in this league or you can't. That's the bottom line. It doesn't take most QB's years to figure that out.
  23. It's the classic "late round hope" syndrome. I think Corral was a decent gamble for when we picked him(wouldn't have personally traded up to get him) but all this "the future" talk is ludicrous. The odds of a 3rd round or later panning out into a franchise QB are incredibly small. The level of hype isn't really warranted nor is it healthy for the fans. We saw the same thing with Will Grier and he didn't pan out. I'm hopefully Corral is the guy and develops but I am not expecting that. It's also insane to be saying he is better than Baker Mayfield without a single down in the NFL.
  24. I think one of the most interesting things to watch is the offense we run. Rhule keeps talking about having a run first identity as a team but that is not the offense that he has actually run. There seems to be a pretty big disconnect between what Rhule claims to want to be doing offensively and what we actually do on Sundays.
