Tua had durability concerns in college too. We will see how it all shakes out.

Yeah, he is gonna a be a very successful NFL player, IMO.
-
I honestly don't think there will actually be much of a discussion at the end of the day. IMO, the majority of NFL FO's view him as the top guy and probably have for a while.

There are a bunch of people here that would rather have Darnold than Bryce Young, somehow. This place is really something.

Kurt's wife looks like she is in some sci-fi movie. That is some wild fuging hair.

Sometimes it does. It generally favors more creative coaches, that is for sure.

IDK. We will see. A lot can change with a month to prepare for a game.

So the Titans giving up on Malik Willis already?

He was the better of the Montana brothers but ended up addicted to donut holes which led to diabetes. -

Yeah and he struggled a LOT with processing the field in college, so that shouldn't be a surprise that he is struggling with that at the NFL level. He is a longer term project. If he hasn't shown anything by year 4, then you can probably chalk that up as a failed project. -
Well those are two wildly different things. Carr is an actual NFL starting caliber QB so there would be a major price increase. Darnold is probably looking at something along the $4-6 mil/year lines, if he is very lucky. Carr is capable of winning in the NFL, Darnold is not. He needs a perfect scenario around him and to be limited dramatically. That isn't going to change. Now, would I pay the likely FA tag on Carr? Eh.....depends. If we can draft a guy that the FOOTBALL people in the organization believe in, that is probably the best route. If that isn't an option, Carr is probably easily the best case scenario for a team like ours. But, I highly doubt he would want anything to do with a franchise like ours unless we are willing to pay above market value.

Shaq gets unfairly poo on because he had massive and really impossible to fill shoes taking over for TD and Luke. Also that wild contract doesn't help. He is one of our better defensive players and he is definitely our veteran leader on that defense. Probably has been almost the entire Rhule tenure.

Yeah that was just spittballing a name. -

It also helps to have an actually NFL experienced person getting gameplans together every week. Rhule's gameplans probably featured "need to maintain synergy" or "stay committed to The Process. -
I don't think that the Huddle is capable of assessing Darnold because of our fans have QB Stockholm Syndrome after years of bad QB play. Darnold is objectively very bad as an NFL QB. He is better than he has been in the past because they literally ask him to do next to nothing. He is also rarely asked to throw deep in this offense. So, wasn't Teddy a WILDLY better QB in that role? Darnold has very little NFL future in anything other than a 2nd or 3rd QB role.

I don't have a problem making a leap that like if the people interviewing him have a clue how to assess football coaching ability. So, is Wilks hiring him or is David Tepper? -
I wouldn't be upset or happy if we drafted him in the first. I would be happy if we drafted him in the 2nd or lower. The more I look at this class, the more I think it's Young or bust.

Lol. He didn't quit. They yanked him because if he got injured in the last two games his entire 2023 salary and part of his 2024 salary become fully guaranteed. This is a purely financial move because they are going to cut him. That salary isn't tradeable and even if it was, it has a no-trade clause so he gets to pick where he goes.
