  1. The concern is that he might be a "complete control" coach again. If that is the case, I am not sure I want him. He is easily the most accomplished coach available this cycle but we just got over that kind of thing. I don't think I want to make that mistake again.
  2. That is one of those unknowns that will remain that way until someone talks. It would be nice to know if it was just a case of him being driven off for a shitty reason.
  3. Well, Reddick also might not have wanted to stay here at all and no offer we made may have been worth it to him.
  4. The problem is that sort of compensation is what top tier QB's have been trading for, so it's very hard to justify keeping Burns given that haul. And I say that as a guy that likes Burns and doesn't want to get rid of him. That was basically as much as prime Khalil Mack was traded for and while I love Burns, he isn't nearly as dominant as prime Mack was. As the old saying goes, they made us an offer we couldn't refuse and....well.....we refused.
  5. We don't KNOW much of anything that Tepper did or didn't do unless he has said it. As for Fields, maybe that is true he likes him but maybe Rhule the con man conned him into something else. Or maybe he just let them do their thing and didn't interject at all. We have no idea. All I am saying is that his personality from what I have seen reminds me of a micromanaging type, which leans towards meddling. I have no idea whether that is truly the case nor do you. That's just my read on Tepper the man from limited inputs.
  6. We don't know that he has or hasn't directly meddled. We just hear rumors about it. It's not a reality TV show, some things we don't learn, some things we learn eventually and some are just whispers that aren't ever confirmed. He strikes me as a meddling type. His personality suggests it. Could be wrong about that but we do hear rumors about him being directly involved and we do see him being pretty involved in some of the Panthers own videos. Ultimately what level is hard for us to definitely say.
  7. I am okay giving a guy like Ryans a shot. I am okay giving a guy like Wilks a shot. I just want either of those guys to give a modern NFL offense and offensive coordinator a shot. If they aren't down with that, neither am I.
  8. Doing things our way is The Process we decided to embark on. It's really become The Brand.
  9. Oh I definitely understand that happens but there is a Dan Snyder level or Jerry Jones level of meddling, as well. TBQH, Tepper reminds me of that.
  10. Yeah, I wouldn't personally do it but we will never know what his plan is/was. It is a strike against him that Rhule and Tepper selected him.
  11. We will never know what the full story is but Fitterer was the GM when that didn't happen so the blame is his. He isn't an assistant GM anymore. If it's Tepper actively meddling then what does it matter if we fired Fitterer or not? If it's Wilks having enough input to overrule the GM, then the FO is so broken there is no hope of fixing it.
  12. It is way too early to be making this statement. That's completely ludicrous.
  13. I am of the camp that it's completely impossible to determine what percentage of these moves he was responsible for or what percentage input he had. I know that contractually he was Rhule’s assistant GM. I have a healthy dose of skepticism about Fitterer but from Oct. 11 onward all moves are 100% his. He doesn't have a GM boss, he is now the GM. So no Rhule to hide behind or share credit with. He is the man. So I say let him have this offseason to see what it looks like. There is ample time to break out the pitchforks and torches.
  14. Well Fitt(IMO) started his GM job on Oct. 11th, 2022. In that time span he has been okay, with the one blunder likely being passing on the insane trade amount for Burns. He has his first career offseason as a GM coming up, so it will be a lot easier to judge him when that happens.
  15. Hmmmm....wonder what that is about.......
  16. I think still 9th, even with SOS changes. Win or lose that should be the floor.
  17. I think maybe one more year under a better offense(hopefully) and with a valid NFL starting QB would help. If both of those happen and he still doesn't progress......well....it just is what it is. I would say that we have no reason to pass on elite WR talent in the draft.
  18. Well, I mean Bryce Young literally had nationally televised commercials.
  19. He is very talented. But it's like the classic stuff from the old HS to NBA era, teams eventually stop seeing potential when you don’t fix those problems.
  20. Caleb Williams is really putting up a lot of "can't do that at the next level" passes in this game. Definitely needs a lot of seasoning.
  21. Well he did technically start at OU first. Might be a loophole.
  22. Yeah, his WR bailed him out in a big way. Aren't gonna be able to get away with that in the NFL, bruh.
  23. Caleb Williams just threw a wildly stupid pass.
