  1. Not sure if you have been in a coma the past few seasons but.....
  2. Actually, we get the #32 pick. Miami is forfeiting their 1st round pick.
  3. Where are the Robbie defenders now? Defends Rhule, drops passes like he has Crisco gloves, calls out fans for booing and gets into fights with the WR coaches. fug him and the train he rode in on.
  4. Almost everyone else in the NFL has been on this program for years now.
  5. Yeah, that path to NFL success is very nuanced for QB prospects. Lots of factors to account for. That is why it is so difficult
  6. Hard to say, TBH. Stafford got mauled in Detroit fairly regularly and led them to modest success at times. I think he would have run that Brady scheme a lot more effectively than Darnold, for certain.
  7. I think a guy like Stafford would have made our success level go up, perhaps even 8 or 9 wins in a season. But the reality is that would have likely doomed us to more Rhule years and not any actual NFL success.
  8. Yep. I really hope we don't goof this up. If so, my faith in the future will be very limited. We can only go as far as our leadership will allow.
  9. One of the biggest issues we need to figure out is our compensatory picks. We do an exceptionally bad job of balancing the offseason signings and positioning ourselves well to get those picks.
  10. It is the best way but you can also end up in a decade or more long string of failed experiments. The biggest thing is having quality evaluators capable of identifying franchise QB talent. Then having good management in place to make the decision to get a franchise caliber guy. If you lack one or the other, it's just a parade of bad choices and losing seasons. So, while all that sounds easy, it's a lot harder in practice.
  11. Yeah well the difference there is hardware. The Rams have a Super Bowl championship to point to, even if Stafford's long term health declines. They reached the mountaintop. We haven't had a winning season since 2017. Would Stafford have won a championship here? Highly unlikely given how badly managed this team has been. But staring at your prospective QB win a title elsewhere will always hurt.
  12. The next few months will tell us a lot about that.
  13. This is the recovering from getting rid of a crazy ex period. Once the new fling happens, we'll just have an occasional story about how bad this all was.
  14. fuging college football fans are the worst.
  15. Yeah but Wilks also apparently hated the way the defense was run overall. If he struggles under Wilks/Holcomb then I think it is safe to say he isn't a guy. I would like to see him play for actual NFL guys.
  16. Yeah, I don't see this ship righting itself. It will be interesting to see what transpires.
  17. Those are points in Fitterer's favor but those weren't the only bad deals.
  18. I wouldn't mind seeing Fitterer be able to stay in a traditional GM role to see what he is made of. But Tepper has the scoop on who was responsible for what moves over the Rhule/Fitterer term. If we see him get canned after the season, I suspect we are gonna know he had his hands in a lot more of our bad deals than a lot of observers thought.
