I highly doubt Lance is as bad as Darnold. He hasn't shown that so far, in his very limited action.
-
I mean, I would have been okay at that price tag. But, maybe we get someone even cheaper.
-
I would like to see Chark, personally.
-
It's mostly #2's and slot guys. Still, it got stupid last year with those guys. Meyers being that cheap is great news for us. We should be able to get an upgrade for a very reasonable price if we want.
-
Don't forget that Jimmy G will be sitting out most of the season.
-
That's not as bad of a deal as feared. This might be a much more reasonable market than expected
-
I was hoping for what happened with Bozeman. It was eyebrow raising that he only got the deal he did last offseason so the talk of him on a big money deal seemed a little unlikely. Foreman is going to be facing a VERY deep market at RB, so we also might be able to get him fairly cheaply.
-
The price is really the thing. Would love to have Foreman back but it is a VERY crowded market with a lot of top tier options.
-
The media isn't an NFL front office. They prove that every draft. The fact that we supposedly had three QB's as first rounders isn't a point in anyone's favor considering how lightspeed stupid we were under Rhule. Also, how am I being a dick about explained, what literally happened? Corral wasn't a top two round QB. That's not something abstract, you buffoon.
-
We would really have to suck to make that happen, most likely.
-
I have four objective rounds of evidence of him not being a top two rounder. I have two of those for Corral. It's kind of amazing that you can't wrap your head around something that literally happened.
-
Clearly not. He was a 5th rounder.
-
I would say Darnold will likely ve a very, very distant third option for them. He shouldn't see the field unless both Purdy and Lance got down.

Anthony Ricardson Board Work with Steve Mariucci

He is basically a less polished Trey Lance. So if you liked Lance(which I really did at the time), he is your guy. If we were in a different spot with the roster(and franchise), he'd be a great Jordan Love-like option to develop over a few years. Unfortunately, we don't have that luxury. We need a guy that can play on day one. -
There is a chance the TE FA market might be depressed because there are good draft options in the first 2-3 rounds. If so, I hope we pounce on a reasonable contract option.
-
No one in an NFL front office agrees with you. That is just simply a fact.
-
I think Howell had some definite long term NFL backup qualities. I just didn't see that with Corral.
-
I really don't care. He should have been a 4th rounder or later and I am going with a default of trusting this staff.
-
Keep in mind that the league probably doesn't view him as valuable as we(the fans) do. He was signed to an insanely low deal last season. I think this deal is about right. Good for us, good for him.
-
It wouldn't be wise to jettison any of the three considering injury issues.
-
Meyers is a very clear #2 WR. He would be a fantastic addition but not at the price he might command. If we can get him in the $10-13 mil range, 100% in. Other than that, he isn't a guy we should be spending a lot of money on. I would love DJ Chark too but that will also be price dependent.
-
I can't help you be smarter. Not within my abilities. Carry on with your low tier backup obsession.
-
I think people vastly overrate where Darnold is rated by the NFL. I suspect we will see that with free agency.
