It doesn't matter. Litigating the past is pointless. Move on with Dalton. If he isn't healthy enough, line up the FA QB's until you find one or he is healthy enough. I am up for it if he's healthy. I don't think he can be worse than Bryce simply because Bryce seems to continue to regress each week. He's approaching Gabriel levels and if he keeps regressing you may get sub-Gabriel play. That's nuts to continue.

I think once you have cleary established Bryce Young is not an NFL QB(as any intelligent football person should have by now) then it's time to just throw poo at all the wall and see if it sticks. That is at least trying. Beating your head against the wall over and over hoping your skull gets strong enough to get through concrete is just insane.

I can understand the concept of this under the Rivera era where we had very strong locker room culture and respected veterans. Who in the fug could that possibly even be here? A couple of the OL? Jansen? These guys are a mishmosh of "never have had any success" or random veterans. Not saying it isn't possible but there being a lot of "strong leaders" in this group in terms od understanding NFL success is far fetched.

If he can't or won't bench Bryce then I have no use for him. He's just a yes man.

TBH, we won't know unless they say or some people get benched. It's pointless to even speculate. The greater point is that the coaching staff is allowing it to happen. So much for a "Leadership Council."

Jeff Lewis was the worst QB to ever wear the Panthers uniform. I have never seen anything like it.

Hasn't been a ton but it was in back to back games. I hope he isn't one of the guys Ikey and Scourton have been talking about as far as resting on their laurels. Hopefully just a bad couple of games.

With Ikey and now Scourton staying something, I think it is clear we have a cultural issue. That's 100% a Dave Canales problem. As I keep saying, dude is a buddy coach and is gonna let these guys roll over him.

Yeah, we are still far from a legit team. We might be a QB away from being a "serviceable" team on its eventual way to legitimacy. This ain't a quick turnaround. At least 2 more very good offseasons to be a divisional contender, IMO.

I think you ride Bryce until it is clear to EVERYONE he isn't the guy and isn't worth the 5th option. Once that happens, then rock Dalton the rest of the way and call it a season. There are no magic pills on the scrap heap at the moment.

They cut them because they had other roster needs and both of them will be couch bound indefinitely as no other NFL team would have any interest at all. They are discardable assets that will always be available. Hence why they are still available.

I wouldn't be pumped. It would just be a different way of losing. But, I am ready for that at this point.

I am gonna keep giving you poo because your love for him knows no bounds. In all seriousness, I do understand the use of Horn. He is a gadget guy and fits a very specific role as an athletic/quick playmaker. We do need that more with Bryce at QB to attempt to generate some extra yards.

I mean.....you could say he did make a lasting impact.

I sincerely apologize to Jonathan Mingo and Terrace Marshall Jr. You deserved better than my earlier comparison to XL. XL will become the biggest bust in Panthers franchise history.

Also, some of you guys need to finally come to the realization that most of us have. XL is not an NFL player. Even a little bit. He is extremely soft.

I think he more often than not breaks down after the inital scripted stuff. He's definitely a below average NFL HC in terms of game preparation and adjustments. I think he will prove to be a bottom quarter coach in that regard by the time he is gone from Carolina.
