  1. TO's would upset me. We can't have a player that is sketchy with the ball. Plus, I don't think that was an issue for him in college as he had zero fumbles lost his entire career.
  2. I don't think it will be a complete stomping at all. That's not really the 2024 KC team. They have only scored 30 points once this season(shootout versus TB) and their biggest margin of victory has been 13(vs. the Saints). I guess they clearly show better versus the NFC South but not THAT good. Not by their recent years standard.
  3. The question is, can he survive to get to that third year? I suspect next year is also going to extend our streak of losing seasons so Tepper is going to have to be much more patient than he has been so far. I rather doubt Canales makes it far into season three, if he even makes that if he isn't close to .500 after 2025.
  4. Yeah, this is the least talented defense in franchise history. Hard to beat him up that badly.
  5. Some very rosy takes for a backup RB in his first NFL game versus an elite rushing defense. I damn sure hope that you guys are right.
  6. Well you are saying 15th which would be average, correct? I would say he is, at very, very best average. Truthfully, the eye test(his entire college and NFL career) shows slightly below average arm talent, IMO. I guess we will see how it all turns out.
  7. I work in NY periodically and deal with city folks and country folks there. Different vibe, sure. Brian Daboll is Canadian, however.
  8. Well, as referenced in this very thread, there are only two active OL above 34 years of age. So, it is very possible that this could he his last contract, given that he will be 29 at the start of next season.
  9. Why would you take a failed QB from a bad team and think he would fare better on a far worse team? Did it work with Teddy? Dalton? Baker? If he needs rehab from addiction to sucking, we are not the place for it. This is a Hoover factory.
  10. Rebuild???? Retool??????? We are BUILDING at this point. Ain't nothing left to rebuild from.
  11. I do not think they ever even have to break out the prevent. I don't think they nuke us because their offense is still sputtering but it won't be a scenario where they are concerned enough to do anything other than run their normal D.
  12. We won't know that for a couple of seasons.
  13. I mean if he is at 5 for 50, we are probably adding an L to KC and Swifties running out in tears.
  14. I really don't know what to tell you if you actually think he has anywhere near the arm strength of Mayfield or even Dak. That's a very wild and massive outlier take. He is very much a guy that fits with what Payton is doing there. He doesn't need a mega talented QB to run that system, just one that processes information well. Nix is definitely that.
  15. What would if matter if he could, probably, barely beat Bryce? He would cost a fuging GRIP of money for the rest of 2024 if we were that retarded. And in the offseason, there are other bust options available if you want to get a #2 or #3 option on the cheap.
  16. See where you draft, see if there is an option. If not, get a Dalton/Flacco PREVIOUSLY SUCCESSFUL veteran to be acceptably mediocre. If you want to gamble on fool's gold(all of the other busts you listed) that's fine, if you take that option first. Outside that, you are just dooming the franchise, the coach, probably the GM, all of our developing young talent and ABSOLUTELY the fans to watching another rebuild start in the 2026 offseason. I really am perplexed by the need to chase massively unsuccessful guys when two of the guys you claimed to be worthwhile failed dramatically here(Dalton, Mayfield). There is no secret solution to suddenly not being a dumpster fire. Understand that no matter what goes on in the entirety of the 2025 offseason, we will be a bad team that loses plenty of games. This ain't a quick fix. And Daniel Jones is not the kind of player that is going to do well going from one dumpster fire to the next. If you like the Dalton and Mayfield examples, where did they go in between? A highly successful franchise that didn't need them to do poo but chill on the bench and get their heads right. We are 180 degrees opposite of that. It's just another recipe for wild failure.
  17. The answer is definitively no. This is a laughable option.
  18. Let's hear them. Carries: 6 Yards: 16 Catches: 2 Yards: 17 TD's: 0 TO's: 0 Decent outing against a very tough run defense opponent.
  19. I am perplexed by this "Bo Nix strong arm" thing. I am not sure if many people saw him in college, in the combine or certainly the NFL but he does not have anywhere near a "strong" NFL arm. Very much closer to average, if not squarely average.
  20. Drew Lock is a 3rd string QB, at his maximum potential reached.
  21. That would be Justin Fields and he should be VERY cheap.
  22. So, Stafford has literally always been an elite QB. Goff led a team to the SB so at worst he was Matt Ryan/Kirk Cousins tier. Baker was a guy that relatively stabilized the dumpster fire Browns QB situation until they wrongly gave up on him. Still was a Pro Bowl QB in Cleveland. Smith was a wild success story, however it took many stops and many years to rise to the top. Darnold is a wild bust that is still a bust, but he happens to be on one of the best teams in the NFL(averaged 1.3 TO's/GM for career, averaging 1.4 TO's/GM this season). Only a complete fool doesn't watch him and see that his ceiling is basically Jameis Winston. So....of these, you are banking on the multi-year veteran with many teams that finally made it or the still basically bust that also took multiple years and multiple stops to "make it." None of those situations is anything close to Daniel Jones and Carolina.
  23. Daboll is proving to be a fraud as a HC anyway. That team is too talented to be this bad.
  24. One is a tried and true veteran of moderate playing ability. The other is a wild QB bust with shattered confidence and questionable playing ability. I would prefer not to be shuffling two shitty QB's in and out all next season. Maybe try extending a mediocre veteran and hope for potentially mediocre results? As opposed to shooting for bottom quarter of the NFL and ending up with bottom tenth of all QB's on NFL rosters.
