If Bryce were summarily released, I would expect that he would receive about as much interest as someone like Justin Fields. Relatively minimal but a couple of "We can fix him" types willing to take a cheap flier on him. I disagree on Hooker and the NFL has largely disagreed. The Lions were a great place to develop someone like that but instead he caused them to sign more capable(and considered lower tier) backup QB's leading to his release after just two seasons. That's pretty bad. And if you watch his two seasons of preseason/season play, the reasons become very obvious. He is not an NFL caliber QB.

The cases of players leaving here and then being substantially better elsewhere are fairly minute. What usually happens is much wailing ans gnashing of teeth that dies very quickly as the stans suddenly realize their player wasn't being held back by the organziation at all. This is the overwhelming majority of the cases.
