  1. I am struggling with your logic train, though. You say draft Trask in the second, then to start Grier over him to get a top 5 pick in the 2022 Draft. If Trask is that good(and your Trask-crush is well documented at this point) then why in the world would it make sense to start a 3rd string QB over him? I just can't really follow what you think we should do. It's all over the map.
  2. I'd probably prefer to sign another veteran backup QB than roll with Teddy. I just can't stomach paying him this massive contract for the paltry return we will likely be getting. I suspect he is about 80% of the way out the door. I'd rather roll with a later round QB in the draft than Teddy, TBQH.
  3. How is Daley capable? He's been healthy less than 60% of his career so far. IMO, he's pretty close to being a lost cause. Being a halfway decent starter doesn't mean much if you aren't ever healthy. Right now, I see two starting caliber NFL linemen(stretching at three if you include Miller) and then a mixed bag of backup offensive linemen. IMO, we still need a LG, RG and LT. I honestly hope we draft a LOT of OL in this upcoming draft.
  4. It's just a cap trick to spread out the salary hit and leave us more available cap space. He is correct that this is Saints 101.
  5. Yeah but I gave you an "or" statement. We already know that Grier isn't the guy. That's extremely obvious. So you want a top 5 pick?
  6. If they keep Darnold and he looks like a stud, Adam Gase should never be able to get a job in the NFL again. In any capacity.
  7. Soooo....are you saying Will Grier is the answer or that we "win" by being a top 5 pick??
  8. I am somehow more confused about your stance than when I initially asked.
  9. They will be the WTF's for as long as Snyder is the owner. Extremely apropos.
  10. That still makes your statement strange. I thought you said Trask was the best QB in this draft? How is that the case if he can't beat out a career #3 QB?
  11. Agreed. Hasn't wowed me or pissed me off this offseason, mostly a bunch of "meh." The draft will determine my early impression.
  12. If we draft a new QB, why would we start Grier? So we can get a top 5 pick to take another QB in 2022? I am not seeing the logic here.
  13. That happened constantly with Jake. I cannot recall the amount of adjustments Smitty and Moose had to make one some of Jake's jump balls.
  14. Yeah, you know we don't have a guy that can throw to him effectively, right? You know we don't have an OL to protect that guy that doesn't throw downfield often, right?
  15. I am not against adding another elite WR but Anderson and Moore are coming up on deals. I would think making that move would signal that one of them isn't returning. Otherwise, it's definitely ignoring much more pressing needs.
  16. Also the most common career ending injury in the NFL.
  17. You are aware he tore his Achilles tendon, right?
  18. Any thought of signing Fisher better be at vet minimum.
  19. Exactly. Pitts just isn't good value for a team with the kind of needs that we have. That said, I wouldn't really grumble for very long if we did draft him. I'd be annoyed that we wasted a pick on a guy that was a luxury selection when we aren't in a position to make that decision.
