  1. I have been traveling across PA, through OH and now to Detroit. It is funny to see the variations in how people in each area deal with this pandemic.
  2. Probably not many can. I'll wager no one actually read the whole article.
  3. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/coronavirus-case-counts-are-meaningless/ A long read(more than the average Huddler can handle) but a good look at why being hyper focused on case counts can be very misleading.
  4. Yeah, it is so fuging strange. Eventually you just accept it and filter basically everything.
  5. I actually had a kid in the neighborhood that was one growing up so I was exposed to it early. He was the craziest one I ever dealt with too. He would lie about poo you were currently looking at.
  6. Politicians lie but pathological liars lie almost all the time. He is a pathological liar. If people can't see that by now, then they have never been exposed to any prior to his popularity.
  7. We were gonna make it anyway. The virus has a low mortality rate.
  8. That dolt is gonna burn his way through those filters quick.
  9. My buddy took this at a grocery store in CLT. LMAO
  10. Some of the power generation utilities have already established measures like China. You get quizzed on your health prior to entry and they take your temp. If you fail, denied entry and quarantined.
  11. CLT is on Thursday according to some communications from one of the energy utilities there. Currently driving to Philadelphia to support a utility project.
  12. The economic apocalypse will be far worse than the virus apocalypse. I would definitely be in favor of some sensible measures. Temperature screenings, dramatic increases in testing, mandatory mask wearing. Basically a lot of the things Asian countries did. If an area is having widespread virus infections, lock down tighter. Otherwise, you are just going to create another Great Depression. We are teetering on that edge currently.

  14. I am not sure that is inaccurate. There have been anecdotal stories of people being found dead at home in Italy. Is it widespread? Probably not. Has it happened? For sure.
  15. I donated semen. Does that help?
  16. Everytime someone shows up with cardboard, I hold them down and rub their faces in it to show them.
  17. For sure, it's going to be a very stressful and exhausting time, most likely. That's a fair criticism. I am just trying to alleviate the panic mode because it's not helpful. Numbers and statistics make me calmer because I can see them and relate them.
  18. Actually, I do know a few(3-4). I will ask them what their opinion on the situation is. And if they were anxious, I really would say that because I would hope that would ease their mind pretty considerably.
  19. Well of the slightly less than 3400 cases of Chinese healthcare workers, 13 died of complications with the virus. That would be 0.4%.
  20. Well we are #17 on the "Most Obese Country of 2019" list, so I think the evidence speaks for itself...... Side note: Surprising how many fatties there are in the Middle East.
  21. Fun fact I was looking at, since the start of the COVID19 outbreak(Dec 2019) roughly 12,000 deaths worldwide have been recorded. By even the most conservative estimates, over 1.5 million people have died of starvation worldwide since Dec. 2019.

  23. 100% agree. Pretty good odds you would just end up with mild symptoms at that age anyway.
  24. If I didn't have to travel for the next 4-6 weeks for work, I would totally do one of those studies to get it. fug it. I think it's valuable to get tested just for peace of mind if nothing else. I know so many people with mild symptoms or nagging sickness that are worried to death about it, which all that stress makes their immune system weaker anyway. If we had ample amounts of tests, I don't blame anyone for wanting to get tested if they are ill and need the peace of mind.
  25. Could be sickness and then allergies piling on. Being sick that long is abnormal. May as well go attempt to get tested just to know. It will at least allow you to be on higher alert if things turn on you.
