  1. Play like an NFL QB. Darnold has rarely ever played like an NFL QB and PJ has never played like one. The odds of either of those happening are lottery-esque.
  2. I agree with this take, actually. If nothing else, it will show the owner that our coaches have zero idea what a good QB looks like.
  3. The roster was not bad, actually. It was that most of those players had basically given up on the team and were just playing for themselves, because they knew this was the end of the coaching staff. They were basically auditioning for jobs elsewhere with the latter half of that season.
  4. I don't really care. The fact that he is butthurt over comments from the peanut gallery just means he is spending too much time listening to them. Maybe don't do that. If I were in his position, I certainly wouldn't except to get a good laugh.
  5. Damn. Shots fired! I assume he was talking about Brady or Rhule?
  6. Other than the obvious small market team factors, the fact that have been a bad franchise is an obvious one(no winning seasons since 2017). We also have an EXTREMELY inexperienced and possibly ill-suited coaching staff. That is not going to get win-focused veterans on board, most likely. We also don't have a lot of elite talent here(mostly young talent). Great players want to be surrounded by other great players, because it helps them win more easily. Right now, we are probably most likely a team that is looking at being a destination for big name/elite free agents looking for a paycheck. That's not the place you want to be. But, winning will cure all that. If we build a winning team, better players will want to come here.
  7. PJ out Darnold's Darnold in most shitty categories. However, he is very decisive with the ball, which Darnold is not. I just wish those quicker decisions weren't so goddamn bad.
  8. It would be nice to get him back in time to not catch passes while we are running the ball 70 times.
  9. Yeah, if he is upset about Mayfield, imagine how livid he would be about Darnold.
  10. Pretty sure Marshall is still out, so I doubt you see that.
  11. Elflein is maybe the 4th best guard on our roster.
  12. They both suck. PJ is a little more fun to watch suck but he still sucks.
  13. I would cream my jeans over that load distribution. Pun intended.
  14. It's just random talk. None of our organization is smart enough to have a plan beyond Darnold and PJ Walker, otherwise they would have been here already.
  15. He would absolutely not want to come back here. We would absolutely not want him back here. The former I can understand, the latter I can't.
  16. Eh....not sure that Plunkett still wouldn't be considered a bust. He got two rings but they were on great teams. He was rarely the reason teams won. Reference his career .500 record and only 4 winning seasons of 15. How often was he considered an elite QB after being the #1 overall draft pick. He stuck around a while but there isn't much argument for him being anything but a bust other than the two rings. Gonna day not a great example because he still really didn't pan out.
  17. Rivers was still playing at a high level for Indy but I don't think he has Brady or Brees longevity. If he doesn't, playing behind this line would send him down the road quickly.
  18. How are two street free agents with no NFL experience busts? How are you a bust as a UDFA? That is insanely ridiculous. Bradshaw....eh....that's actually an interesting case. Mainly because he was never technically a great player at any point. Two of his three Pro Bowl seasons would make Jameis Winston blush. He's really a dude that won 4 Super Bowls by being on great teams and just not fuging it up. Interesting case but also a different era. I will say a hard maybe to that one. Steve Young isn't a good example because while he may not have been good in his two years in Tampa, he ended up sitting behind one of the greatest QB's of all time in Joe Montana for 4 seasons. Was it because he took that long to adjust or was it that he was behind the best QB of his generation? Given that he immediately produced at an elite level, I would say the latter is far more likely. That is another extremely unique case but I am gonna say definitely not the same as Darnold taking 6 years. I will partially agree with Bradshaw but we are also comparing him to a dreadful QB in a running era. Even if that were the case, the modern NFL doesn't have a place for a QB that bad anymore. So, hard no and HELL no on Darnold taking 6 years. If he does, let him suck somewhere else trying to accomplish that.
  19. Yeah, ATL is the 25th rated(DVOA) rush defense and NE is 17th. Not a great rush defense but still will give us much more of an issue. Plus, as we know, they will stack the box to stop our rushing attack.
  20. Well, with Rivers we have a chance AT the playoffs with that extra berth. Now the chances of a deep playoff run with this OL?? Not very likely.
