  1. This is actually incorrect. His cap hit in 2021 is very low, $10.54 mil but his 2022 cap hit is $35 mil which would be the second highest paid year(after 2023) of his contract. These figures are assuming he is traded, they are substantially higher for the Texans with his prorated bonus money added.
  2. Still haven't snagged an OF Rye. Need to get one.
  3. I think Teddy starting is a worst case scenario. I don't want to see him ruin another season and make the morale of the team suffer. We need to have a starting caliber NFL QB in 2021.
  4. Well, a $3 mil savings is still $3 mil would could roll towards 2022 rather than pay a guy that won't see the field(hopefully).
  5. Really would like to avoid taking the cut hit on Teddy. May not have an option, though.
  6. I think some of these teams are also waiting to see if Stafford becomes a free agent. The Lions can cut him and designate him as a post June 1st cut and end up with a smaller dead cap hit than if they trade him now.
  7. Stafford for a 2nd would be a killer deal. Would need to find a way to dump Teddy, however.
  8. Man, Rodgers really has quite the ego. I guess it has served him well in a certain aspect but it makes it tough for the Packers.
  9. Yeah, he may just be wrong about that. Either way, he means our 2021 2nd.
  10. Eh.....I mean I will not be upset to get Watson but we will be in a tough spot to keep building through the draft. We really need to crush free agency consistently.
  11. Remember "ties" rotate each round. So they shuffle picks. That is actually why tying kind of sucks in the draft order.
  12. Don't say that. His home is technically Georgia. We don't want him to go home.
  13. Or the Bungles. The point being, poo franchises are usually poo for a good reason. They are poorly run.
  14. Well some things are constant. Death, taxes, shitty franchises being perpetually shitty.
  15. You think Stafford was the thing holding that franchise back??? Lol....I remember my first year as an NFL fan.
  16. Yes but how much were those the players and how much were those the situations? Sometimes it is difficult to unpack that unless a change of scenery happens. I don't think Stafford will end up here but I will be curious to see how successful he is at his next destination. If I had to make a prediction, I would wager that what you end up finding out is that the problem wasn't Stafford any more than it was Calvin Johnson or Barry Sanders. Sometimes great players just end up in shitty organizations.
  17. I literally re-looked at his Wikipedia to see WTF that comment was even about. Still just as head scratching as when I first read it.
  18. Yeah and if it is just a matter of him not being accustomed to the head coaching interview process in the NFL, he'll eventually get that figured out. As someone mentioned, during his "hot candidate" period, he's also been in two Super Bowls. That does tend to divide one's attention.
  19. Or maybe he is going to have an early playoff exit one season and actually have the time to prepare properly.
  20. Yeah, but you can still be prepared at an interview when a franchise is in disarray. Hell, it happens every offseason multiple times. It isn't like most of these job openings are for good jobs.
  21. Yeah but you cannot summarily discount that maybe he just also isn't "the guy." He is likely to get a head coaching job down the line, so you will get to see if this was the hill to die on or not. I don't know personally, but I do find it odd he specifically hasn't been able to break through after being a hot candidate for a couple of offseasons.
