  1. To be determined. He talks a good game, so let's see if he can produce the desired results. I am sure Dan Snyder and Jerry Jones once had optimistic fans behind them too.
  2. I don't hate him. He didn't sign himself. I do think he is one of the worst FG kickers in the NFL, and the statistics largely bear that out. I'm way more annoyed with the front office for not making a move in that area. But, perhaps we can draft/sign a kicker and get that part of our team shored up, as well.
  3. Yeah, rolling with Cam would have been the obvious solution. At least if/when the decision is proven to be wrong, there is no more money tied up into it. Not sure who ultimately made the call to move on from Cam and sign Teddy, but he/they deserve a lot of scorn for those decisions. They will cost us this offseason and the next. I don't think Cam would have had any issue playing. He really has never shown any inclination towards being the kind of player to hold out. He seems much more likely to be the sort of guy that bets heavily on his abilities. But, this is a hindsight discussion, so those mistakes have already been made. As I said, I'd prefer to just simply move on. We basically know what we have in Teddy and we also know it isn't something that has any real future here. I don't think that is going to be a situation that is productive for the team over the course of a season.
  4. Eh....sure. I think we still have some other needs that might make taking that many DB's a little overkill. It just depends on how the board falls, I suppose. Big test early for our new GM.
  5. FOUR CB's?? That's a little excessive, I would say.
  6. He produced more in line with what he was paid last season but he will definitely not this season. He's an NFL backup caliber QB that is getting paid like a starter. That's a problem, no matter how you dice it. It is a detrimental move, there is absolutely no question about it. It robs us of a large sum of cap money that could be either spent improving the team this season or rolled to next season to help us improve. At the time it seemed more in line with what the market perception was of him. In hindsight, it was a bad signing. It's hard to spin it any other way than that.
  7. Eh....since he is a short term player, I would say his current salary holds the most weight. His cap figure has him the eighth highest paid(currently) in 2021. You really think he will produce at that level? It's the level he is getting paid.
  8. I have said I wanted 3+ OL in this draft and I definitely mean it. It would be nice to get some young guys to develop and start to build that unit back up.
  9. I am concerned about the money we spent on the two new free agents but I did like retaining Miller and Scott. We just need to keep filling out that offensive line, IMO. Right now I see a big "Incomplete" grade.
  10. I am struggling with your logic train, though. You say draft Trask in the second, then to start Grier over him to get a top 5 pick in the 2022 Draft. If Trask is that good(and your Trask-crush is well documented at this point) then why in the world would it make sense to start a 3rd string QB over him? I just can't really follow what you think we should do. It's all over the map.
  11. I'd probably prefer to sign another veteran backup QB than roll with Teddy. I just can't stomach paying him this massive contract for the paltry return we will likely be getting. I suspect he is about 80% of the way out the door. I'd rather roll with a later round QB in the draft than Teddy, TBQH.
  12. How is Daley capable? He's been healthy less than 60% of his career so far. IMO, he's pretty close to being a lost cause. Being a halfway decent starter doesn't mean much if you aren't ever healthy. Right now, I see two starting caliber NFL linemen(stretching at three if you include Miller) and then a mixed bag of backup offensive linemen. IMO, we still need a LG, RG and LT. I honestly hope we draft a LOT of OL in this upcoming draft.
  13. It's just a cap trick to spread out the salary hit and leave us more available cap space. He is correct that this is Saints 101.
  14. Yeah but I gave you an "or" statement. We already know that Grier isn't the guy. That's extremely obvious. So you want a top 5 pick?
  15. If they keep Darnold and he looks like a stud, Adam Gase should never be able to get a job in the NFL again. In any capacity.
  16. Soooo....are you saying Will Grier is the answer or that we "win" by being a top 5 pick??
  17. I am somehow more confused about your stance than when I initially asked.
  18. They will be the WTF's for as long as Snyder is the owner. Extremely apropos.
  19. That still makes your statement strange. I thought you said Trask was the best QB in this draft? How is that the case if he can't beat out a career #3 QB?
