  1. Go back to your first post and highlight all of the "I think" phrases. That is what is referred to an an opinion. Added a link so you could research it.
  2. Facts are things that you can prove with evidence. Where is yours?
  3. I think the reality is that we can work with Lawrence, Fields, Lance or Wilson. As long as none of them have dipshit qualities that make them tough to coach, I think our staff can work with any of these guys and help them improve.
  4. Clausen is a pure dumb take. Mitch isn't necessarily a terrible take, but it's on the wrong end of that gunslinger spectrum. Trubisky is on the Favre/Winston end of the spectrum. The level of stupid decisions is just off the charts. He is pure boom or bust. Wilson seems more like the Mayfield/Stafford/Mahomes end of the gunslinger charts. Still prone to some stupid throws but much more measured. More of the good aspects of the gunslingers and less of the bad aspects.
  5. This QB market is fuging nuts though. If they move on from Darnold, it will be a good temperature of how crazy it is. If teams are beating down the door to get Darnold, who doesn't have much to show for his time in the NFL so far, this market may be at record levels. Derek Carr will be another situation to watch for a temp check of the market. Speaking of bad takes, you got two in one post. Well done.
  6. Wilson does like those "off platform" throws like Mahomes does. He leans gunslinger like Mahomes too. Wilson actually reminds me a little of Baker Mayfield. Which, Baker is basically a poor man's Mahomes. He's the version that doesn't have elite attributes at every skill.
  7. Lance is a talented runner because he was a RB when he was younger. I am concerned he will rely on that too much in the NFL. I know it has worked out for Lamar Jackson but Lance doesn't have that top end gear that keeps Lamar from taking a ton of punishment. Also, I do like that Lance has a chip on his shoulder and didn't accept the P5 offers to become a DB or WR in college. Gotta like a kid who stuck with it and worked to make his dream happen.
  8. I don't get the portion of our fanbase that wants to trade down or stick it out with Teddy while we build a team. If you don't have a QB in the NFL, you are going nowhere and fast. Only two teams made the playoffs this season without top 16 QB's in the NFL, the Bears and WTF's. That trend goes back a few years, with the only exceptions being a backup QB in Nick Foles and the shell of Peyton Manning having the ultimate success. Philly was propelled in by an MVP caliber performance from Wentz and Peyton Manning was propelled in by the best defense in the NFL.
  9. Holy poo. I never considered the Saints or a multi-team deal. If there is a team that has tons of players available to trade and desperately needs to jettison cap, it's them. I would melt down if we got scooped by the Saints in a Watson deal.
  10. Remember it is also the last year of his rookie deal. So it would be a 2nd round draft pick for a one year rental.
  11. The problem with Minshew is that he is on a very, very cheap deal and so the Jags aren't going to be likely to want to get rid of a cheap and effective backup unless we pony up something worth their while. He isn't exactly a money suck on their cap. Darnold is similar but he also leaves the Jets with $5 mil in dead cap for trading him. Hurts is the same situation. Adds(although small) dead cap for the Eagles for the next three years and is a very cheap and capable backup. If the Jets don't land Watson, I would honestly draft a QB at #3. Go into camp with a competition and if Darnold is clearly the guy, you have a good backup option that you just drafted. If Darnold gets beat out by the rookie, now you have a trade chip. Maybe send Teddy back to NY for Darnold(obviously we give up a bunch of draft picks in this scenario)?
  12. At least I would understand if it was me.
  13. That is the same surprise as waking up to find out someone had poo in your bed and it wasn't you.
  14. Well there are only three spots ahead of them, so I am not sure they have a bunch to worry about. Not unless they really like a specific guy. In that case, they would probably have the best ammo to trade up with the #4 pick. Ryan returning also doesn't mean they may not take a QB, either.
  15. This is definitely a positive for us as far as the draft. Not so sure it is a positive for us overall...
  16. His career stats to this point and Favre's are almost dead even. I did a detailed statistical breakdown of that on here last offseason(I think). The similarity was amazing. The question is, does anyone in the league have the stomach for a QB as erratic as Favre in the modern game?
  17. IDK, they brought him in to save Drew Brees from having to throw a long pass. Like I said, it's a mystery. People crush Winston for that 30 INT year but his INT's were not at a ridiculous level until 2019. Well, he will likely be in a new spot in 2021, so if he ends up relegated to the dustbin of the NFL, I guess we have our answer.
  18. Easily the biggest mystery of the 2020 season. However, I sincerely hope we see them believe Tayim Hibow is the future. My God.....it will be like watching the new Texans.
  19. @Iron Saint Get your ass in here and explain to me what the deal is with The Golden Calf of Bristol 2.0 starting over Jameis Winston. What is the behind the scene story with Winston? How does Sean Payton start fuging Taysom fuging Hill over Winston?? The man started a fuging backup TE over a former NFL starter.
  20. He isn't wrong about this. Lance is relatively inexperienced as a QB. His dad played DB in college and the CFL and it sounds like he had a fairly non-traditional upbringing as a QB. I do like that he has a chip on his shoulder and I like that he learned at an early age how to beat defensive backs but he really is thousands of reps behind. So, even though the linked article talks about what a "natural" he is....he will still be a project because he hasn't been putting in thousands of reps like Lawrence, Fields and Wilson have. That is a real area of concern. The interviews and workouts are going to be huge for him.
