This is how I see Tommy Tremble being used
kungfoodude replied to JawnyBlaze's topic in Carolina Panthers
That is how you want our new LT to play. Maybe a few less swipes allowed. -
I think Snow was better than expected last season, however he was also referenced in that "running a bunch college stuff" comment from another NFL coach. I don't think there is any threat of him leaving for another NFL job. Perhaps a college job.

Stanley Cup Playoffs: Round Two, Game 2
kungfoodude replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
There has been no moping. They have played hard. There is no shame in just plain getting beat by a better team. -
How much of the Jets performance was really on Darnold?

And during the regular season we were that team. We just need to learn that during the playoffs there is a different level. -

Let's drag this out 6 or 7 games to get the playoff reps. That should be the goal now. Still a young team. -

And that is all she wrote. This is a shame but it's another learning experience. -

As negative as this sounds, at least we have a bright future as a team, even if we don't get past Tampa. It's a good time to be a Hurricanes fan. -

Nothing other than the score isn't going our way. This is so frustrating. -

Whelp. -
I think Scott will start the most games for us. I also think no one will start more than 8 games at LT as we shuttle through the options trying to find the best one.

It is a big bummer to lose Nino. -
This is the correct answer.

I think they just liked Horn better. It pissed me off at the time but in reality he probably does have a higher theoretical ceiling than Slater or Fields. Also, most of what we did was straight out of the Seattle playbook, so I think we are basically trying to re-create that in Carolina. I definitely don't hate that, as they have been a very successful franchise.

Burrow appears to be a relentless competitor and had a reputation for having high intangibles. I haven't heard that kind of talk about Darnold. Definitely not saying he doesn't work hard, but there are just some guys that are at another level. Not sure he is. I don't think Sam was a desperation move, I think they considered him the best of a bunch of gamble options. We'll see. I'd much rather you be correct than me.

Plus we have a favorable early schedule, as well. We started strong last year, so I suspect we should start strong this year. But, we also had the element of surprise early last year whereas now there is a full season if tape on our offensive and defensive tendencies.

I think we will have our answer before mid-season, whether good or bad.

Which Positions Have The Panthers Improved Most This Off Season
kungfoodude replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
WR just depends on how quickly those guys get acquainted. Samuel was a very, very good weapon for us last year so I wouldn't be shocked if our WR corps wasn't a little worse this year just because his replacements don't produce like he did and/or are as consistent as he was last year. That could very well change in 2022 and beyond, however. QB....well....higher ceiling than last year, way, way, way, WAAAAAAAAAAAY lower floor. DL has been upgraded big time, IMO. Even losing Kerr, I think Fox and Jones and even Reddick make our pass rush potentially ferocious. That is arguably the most exciting unit on the team. OL....TBD. I don't think the starters will be much better but I think we won't see the dramatic drop off once injuries start being an issue.
