  1. This will be a good measuring stick for where we are early in the season. If we get smoked like GB did, might be back to the drawing board for a few games to adjust what we are doing. If we play well or even win, maybe we can claw our way to something significant. Either way, the Saints and their fuging fans eat a giant bag of dicks.
  2. Yeah, I think they know that offense is at least a portion based on smoke and mirrors at the moment. The weaknesses in the OL are being covered up by scheme and CMC. As many weapons as we have on offense, we may have some fatal flaws on that side of the ball. We will see what it looks like in a few weeks.
  3. Technically we already had a track record of that last year. If you look at CMC in limited action last season, we used him a LOT. It will be interesting to see if we basically roll with the Rivera era level of usage. I definitely get he is our best offensive player and we pay him a ton of money.....but it is rare for ANY NFL RB to last with a high level of usage over time. We have to eventually do a better job of managing his wear and tear. Maybe he is an outlier and can sustain this but that isn't something I would personally bank on as a head coach. This isn't college football where you have four years to use a player up and then on to the next. You have to try to protect your franchise players for the duration of their tenure with the team. They don't grow on trees.
  4. Well, you are in a really small minority in that regard. I doubt you see many in the NFL that would agree, either.
  5. I don't think there is much risk of Slye becoming an All Pro kicker. But you need to be sure the replacement is better.
  6. They left TD's on the field against us too. Perfect football is about as rare as a black hole popping up in your living room. I don't think any of us should be overly concerned about the overall offensive output yet. If we are still seeing the same struggles in a few weeks, we have a trend to be concerned about. Same with the red zone struggles. It's a little early to attach that to last season's struggles.....yet.
  7. I don't think it is that deep. I am sure they have umpteen wrinkles in that offense that we haven't seen yet. If something was needed, they would have used it. Each gameplan is tailored for a specific opponent, after all.
  8. I mean....this is getting weird at this point. Are you related to this dude?
  9. Same as last season. Our scheme covers up a lot of their flaws. Hence why I somewhat believe they don't put a high priority on OL.
  10. The NY Jets are absolutely a poor opponent.
  11. Horn is a rookie. He did pretty well against a poor opponent. He'll have his ups and downs.
  12. Some of that is longevity at his position. If he can maintain for a decade plus, he's in that discussion.
  13. Yeah....I remember the Teddy fanboys last year getting pretty quiet....
  14. Yeah but I was talking about the depth of the team.
