    I am not ready to say that because we kind of perpetually stay in this cycle of looking for flashes, wishing and hoping. Do I THINK they look better than our normal class to date? Yes. Am I gonna count those chickens based on general Panthers luck? Hell no. I know that I want to keep seeing more of the young guys just to see what we have in general. That I definitely know.

    I shudder to think of even a Brock Purdy sized investment into Bryce. That would cripple the franchise for years.

    I will say that Brees and Young are similar athletes, in that they aren't particularly athletic.

    People say Bryce was surrounded by NFL talent that made him look far better. That's completely fair. But so is Arch and he is hammered ass.

    Yes, Sellers is generally a better athlete. But he had a ton of success early and then just never improved over time. That's the risk. Hell, ask the Colts. If anything AR is arguably worse than at UF.

    Yeah, that's why I say KJ Jefferson. Similar profile and success earlyish. NFL Draft radar guy and then it drops off precipitously to him being a UDFA in this past draft.

    I don't think there is a set rule about when to start a young QB. Some are ready early, some need some time to learn and some just never get there. I keep beating this horse to death but I firmly am in the camp that it isn't how we are or aren't developing anyone, it's that we don't have any fuging clue how to pick guys that CAN develop in the first place.
